Putting this under home since it's about trying to sell our old home.

Back story: we've had our house on the market for over a year and have been letting a family friend (who is a realtor) list it. There have been a lot of showings, a few offers, but nothings ever gone through and the realtor keeps bringing it back on us. If only we'd get X + Y + Z done, it would sell. The thing is we don't have the funds, time, or anything to get XYZ done which is why we're selling the house at that price, as is, anyways! We've done absolutely everything we can do to this house.

Basically we've just felt he's very passive and since we're not able to get XYZ done, he doesn't feel like we're going to find anyone even though we're one of the very few houses in that price range available on the market now. We -should- be able to sell - and we're not.

I'm on the hunt for a realtor to get the house gone gone gone but I don't know where to begin. I'm assuming I should look for someone who specializes in short sales? But how do you search for someone like that? And where do you find reviews?
