LO has been cruising and climbing for well over a month now and can pull up quite easily. However, he is still scared to stand unassisted. He will briefly let go of things and then immediately grab back on. I know he CAN stand unassisted because I've let go of his hands a few times when he's been really engrossed in something. He usually lasts about 30 seconds before he realizes I let go and then gets scared and sits and cries. If he is paying attention and I try to let go he will immediately cry and cling to me.

I don't want to pressure him to do something he's not ready for, I just know he can do it but needs the confidence. Should I keep trying to let go and then clap for him and encourage him? Or should I just wait until he starts wanting to let go on his own?
