LO is 8 weeks old and she started spitting up more frequently last week. I think it might be due to a forceful letdown? I will ask at her next well appointment on Thursday.

DS projectile vomited all the time. We knew he had reflux because he would arch his back, scream if he was even slightly removed from a completely vertical position, he comfort nursed and had trouble sleeping.
He actually had Sandifer's Syndrome due to the uncontrolled reflux. His body would shake like little seizures while nursing, but the shaking was not seizures, but more of a coping mechanism due to the reflux pain. Getting the reflux under control removed the symptoms.

Once we got m's mspi under control I could really see the reflux. She would be totally content and then I would see her spit up or hear her burp and she would start screaming. Spitting up is ok as long as they are happy spitters. It's when they're having pain that it's a problem. Prilosec worked wonders for M.

DS spit up ALL.THE.TIME! he would give us back half his bottle it seemed, every time. he was never bothered by it, and was called a happy spitter. main things we noticed that lead us to believe reflux were, eating little, constantly(he'd have 1-2 ounces every 45mins-1hr), crying and arching his back after the bottle, bring his knees to his chest.

around 4 to 8 weeks i think LO has "silent" reflux--no spitting up, but towards the end of a feeding he would arch his back and start screaming. it was horrible. i've heard in some ways it's better if they spit up because at least they get it out and are not in pain (but of course you then have to deal with making sure they're eating enough)--reflux is no fun.

My LO cried for hours at a time with no way to soothe her. I tried everything. Walks, car rides, swing, holding her and bouncing, and of course the obvious diaper and hunger check. Nothing would calm her down. My MIL told me it was just because she was a fussy baby, but I knew it had to be something more than that. She did spit up a lot also. She even had some projectile spit up.

F has silent reflux, so we never deal with spit up. I think I can count on one hand the number of times she's spit up. She SCREAMED throughout every feeding, arched her back. She also did a lot of "refeeding" where as best I can describe it, it looks like she was chewing cud. After she was put on Prevacid and we thickened her formula with cereal, she's a totally different baby!
