So, I've been a stomach sleeper my whole life. Never been able to sleep any other way. Throughout my pregnancy so far I've still be sleeping on my stomach but at this point (20 weeks) I'm starting to get concerned about squishing the baby and I know I really need to convert to being a side sleeper.

I have a nice body pillow and that definitely helps. I've been trying to use it off on and on and for the last week or so I've been able to fall asleep every night sleeping on my side hugging the pillow. The issue is staying asleep. I wake up in the middle of the night EVERY NIGHT with my shoulder just aching. I think it just isn't used to the pressure of me laying on it for so long? It hurts so bad I can't get back to sleep.

I've been trying to roll to my other side (although I think you're really supposed to sleep on your left side?) but that is such a hassle bc getting the body pillow moved to my other side under all the covers is a battle and it sort of wakes me up. Then I wake up a few hours later with my right shoulder aching. I hate it.

How do you side sleepers do it? Do other people just not have this issue? Ugh. It sucks to have such a superficial issue be impeding my sleep when I'm still able to sleep otherwise and I feel like I should be enjoying my sleep now while I still can!
