We met through work. It was a random job I picked up immediately out of college for a company my brother worked at. We worked together for about 4 months before we started dating. I moved in within 2 weeks of dating, got engaged after 10 months and then married within 2 years. We've been together for 6 years and married for 3.5. We have a 1 year old.

We met in a bar through friends on a Thursday night (way back when a friend of mine and I were watching The Apprentice in graduate school together). I was tagging along with her to meet her friends. We met on a Thursday and had our first date on Sunday. It was a wedding weekend, so his Saturday was busy.

We've been together since 2004. Married in 2009 after dating 5 years. We have an almost 4 year old and one year old!

How did you meet your DH/SO?
Through his sister! I was living abroad at the time and having a spectacularly crappy week and just needed to talk to *anyone*, so I went down to the corner store to get a cold drink. The owner was really friendly, and we started talking, and she invited me to play basketball with her family the following Saturday. I showed up, and there was a cute guy twirling the basketball. It was DH! I started joining them every Saturday.

How long did you know each other before you started dating?
A couple weeks, I guess...we eventually started hanging out without his sister around.

What is one of the most memorable memories just between the two of you?
We took an awesome trip around Peru & Bolivia. We didn't have any sort of plan, and just hopped on whatever bus was most convenient. Saw a lot of cool stuff, managed to avoid major catastrophes (minus one stolen backpack), and just had a really good time!

How long have you been married?
4 years today!!

How many kids do you have?
None yet but maybe next year

When is your wedding anniversary?
We have two! One is today (legal ceremony), and the other is in July (religious ceremony).

How did you meet your DH?
Through a mutual friend that we'd both known for years! This friend invited both of us to a weekend party at his family's lake house. I was there with someone else, but ended up talking with DH for half the night after my boyfriend at the time passed out. I broke up with the boyfriend the next week (unrelated to meeting DH) and a few weeks later ran into DH at a concert and that was that.

We actually went to the same small college and had a ton of mutual friends and similar interests but managed to go 8 years without meeting...though DH swears we met a few times and I just don't remember him! When we finally got together, a number of friends told us that they'd always thought we'd be good together.

How long did you know each other before you started dating?
A few weeks, though we kept things casual for the first couple of months we were dating.

What is one of the most memorable memories just between the two of you?
We go back to my friend's lake house every summer with the same group of friends, which is always a blast.

How did you meet your DH/SO?
In the US Navy. I checked into the same command as him. Little did I know he called "dibs on the new girl"
However, he didn't know at the time I was married.

Hmmmm....about a year I think.

What is one of the most memorable memories just between the two of you?
I would have to say the first time we hung out as friends. We went hiking and we both were talking about how we would never get married again. His first marriage was rough. She did a number on him, still have to deal with her with custody and DD#1, she isnt so nice. Anywho, I was in the process of divorcing. My first husband was controlling and abusive. So we both were pretty jaded on the marriage idea. Its just funny to me because little did we know then......LOL

Going on 12 years.

Almost 6 years now

How many kids do you have?
2 girls. Biologically DD#1 is not mine, and we only have shared custody. But I love her as my own.

When is your wedding anniversary?
July 3rd

Same overlapping wide circle of friends for a few years but never met. Acquainted with each other for a few months while taking a class together with a mutual friend, then started to date right away. Engaged 9 months later. Pregnant with DD one year later, 6 months after wedding. Married for a little over six years. MEmorable memory- when we were dating or engaged DH went on a 10 day mission trip to the Philippines without easy email access. The day before he leaves, he shows up with a manila envelope with a pack of letters - one for each day he is gone. Surprise, surprise. I had done the same thing for him.

@Winnie13: DH was in a band when we met and entered/won Battle of the Bands shortly thereafter. I was such a groupie and it was very memorable although I have forgotten since it seems like so long ago. He definitely used music as part of his wooing!!
