We have 2 cats who are VERY attention needy/hungry. Ive been wondering how they're going to adjust once baby arrives. Anyone care to share their experiences?

No cats, but just had the "we are siamese" song from Lady and the Tramp play in my head! (sorry! totally random and weird)

I'll let you know in the next couple of weeks.
We have 3 needy cats and a needy dog who all think they are the baby, so its going to be an adjustment for all of us. I think they will hate it at first, then love the cuddling.
We know that once the dog gets over the initial jealousy, that he will probably be a better mother than I am to this boy.

our cat smokey hates charlie. she hides all day and then comes out as soon as he goes to bed. she's scared of him.
i feel really sorry for her. she used to be the queen of the house. now she is at the bottom of the totem pole.
she's never been mean to charlie. you just have so much less time for them after baby, we get our qt time by sleeping together.

Our cats were both terrified of the baby crying when we first got home with her, but they got used to it after a week or so. Our one cat was so upset about the baby that she kept peeing on our bed to show her disapproval. It was so irritating to be exhausted with a newborn and have to clean cat pee off the bed constantly the first couple days! Then they just completely ignored her (to the point where they would just sit on her if they wanted to sit on my lap!) We put a stop to that, and once she got mobile, they started hiding from her. Now, the cat lets our daughter pet her occasionally and my daughter is OBSESSED with the cat. But the cat is so needy after my daughter is asleep it just jumps on my lap and wants to be petted forever, and then sleeps cuddled up on my husband or myself every night. (We had two cats when my daughter was born, but one got out when she was a few months old and we never saw her again.)
