@autumnlove: We go to a pediatric dentist and LO did AMAZING for his first filling. They put him in a chair and gave him kid sunglasses to wear and also asked which show he wanted to watch. The put an iPad above him to watch the show while they work, and put earphones on him. They used laughing gas the first time, and he did fantastic.

His second time, the dentist used Novocaine, and while LO didn't complain then, he had gauze in his mouth when he came out. He asked if he could take it out, and the dentist did. He couldn't feel that side of his mouth and freaked out. So that part was really hard the second time around.

Overall, he does really well at the dentist and we've told him he just needs to get an extra dirty spot cleaned off of his teeth when he has to get a cavity filled.
