We have two cats, and my husband and I are really curious to see how they react to a newborn. I'm actually somewhat nervous about this because I can picture them trying to get all up in his gear... like his swing or RnP, even if he's in it. They're very curious, especially our one cat!

my dog sniffed at her but did not care. at all. until the last few months when she started solids, lol!

We have three dogs and they all LOVE LO! We were very pleasantly surprised. Our big dog stands guard wherever baby is sleeping, and our little dogs cuddle up on the other side of the Boppy while I nurse.
They're so sweet with him! -
My cat was curious but not overly assertive. She sniffed a lot. Except for wanting to sit on the chair while I nursed DS, she didn't get very close.

Concern, surprise, denial, and then something like reluctant acceptance, heh.

I have a dachshund and he didn't care too much in the beginning. They started noticing each other around 4 months. I think now that she sits up and does more he's interested in the new little person. He did show concern when she would cry in the newborn months.

Curious and sulky

My cat didn't seem to notice we brought someone new home. But, she's been like that with everything. Every time we move, she doesn't seem to care, lol.
Now she loves DS.

My basset howls when LO cries. The basset and the mutt were both a bit curious and somewhat annoyed (they got seriously demoted) but they've been okay. There have been a few incidents where LO has been on the couch or bed with us and the dogs haven't realized it and have tried to jump on him.
