I must've been around a 9, there was an issue with my iv coming out while, so the nurse couldn't check me. She checked me right after and was very close to complete. I could feel it all

@Raindrop: same!
I was 6cm and feeling fine but they broke my water for me and then hell broke loose. I could have gone further but since tey broke my water at that point, that was my turning point.

Not sure - they checked me when I got to the hospital and I was 3 cm dilated, but it took 2.5 hours to get into a room and for the anesthetist to get there and administer an epidural. During that time, I laboured standing up and the contractions were one on top of the other with hardly a break in between. They didn't check again before the epi.
The epi pretty much stopped my contractions, but they let me rest for a few hours before checking me again, fully expecting me to only be at a 4 or a 5 as the contractions were so slow and not that intense. Imagine all of our surprise when I was 10 cm dilated! The midwife thinks I progressed really quickly between the time I was first checked and when I got the epi, probably as a result of labouring standing up. And actually, looking back at the contraction and heart rate monitor, she pointed out the pattern that would indicate transition and that was occurring as soon as I got the epi, which was the first chance they had to put the monitors on.
So bottom line is that I don't know how dilated I was, but it was somewhere around transition, although we'll never know for sure!

First one-5, that one didn't work so second one around 6. Thus is when I started hyperventilating, so they pumped me full of something else to get me to relax. This was day 3 of labor!

3. I was induced and after about 10 hours with Pitocin, I was only at a 3. Had a C-section shortly after the epi.

I was at 5cm and had been that far dilated for about eight hours when I got my epi, it had also been about 22 hours since my waters broke.

They put it in before they started my induction. My platelets were dropping so it was my last chance to get it. They didn't turn the meds up until later though. I'm not sure when.

My water broke at home and I arrived at the hospital at 7cm, but hadn't yet felt a single contraction. When they did start, in the waiting room, of course, they were every 2 minutes, so I needed relief and fast!

No idea because it was about 3 hours after they broke my water and they didn't check me after that. I was ready to push an hour and a half after I got it.

With my first, I was 5 cms; with my second, I was 6 cms. With both kids, I gave birth within about 5 hours of getting the epidural.

Between 7 and 8, probably more like 8 because I was starting to vomit with contractions and I was 8 when they checked me after the epidural. I was 7 when I was checked in triage and finally got the epidural a couple of hours later..

It was offered at 4-5, but I got it at about 7 after exhaustion hours later.

Between 5 and 7. I was going to hold off a bit longer, but my husband told me he was going to tell them to get an epi for me if I didn't the next time a nurse came in because I had just cried through a contraction and they were starting to be right on top of each other. And apparently the anesthesiologist was going to leave in an hour 15 mins so I wanted to get it before he left.
