DH and I usually text throughout the day. Sometimes I will call him on my lunch break if there is something specific I want to discuss, but a majority of the time we communicate via text. How do you and your DH communicate throughout the day?

We email when DH is at work. He works in a power plant, no cell phones allowed! When he is home and I'm at work (like today) we just chat, because I work at home

DH works about 20 feet from me in the next aisle of cubes. We IM a lot through our office communicator, we also stop by each other's cubes. If we don't see each other on IM and we want to say something, then we text.

He's a teacher so we don't usually communicate during the day. If we do, it's through text or sometimes he will call me when he gets off at 3:30.

We use whatsapp. Kinda like instant messenger on your phone and its free.

Usually e-mails. Since we communicate via our work e-mail accounts, it's usually very PG conversation (what's for dinner tonight, etc). If I want to tell him something personal (e.g., work sucks today!), I'll text him

We almost NEVER talk during the day, but if we have to, it'll probably be through e-mail. On occasion when I need an answer immediately, I'll call him, but that's very rare.

We usually are able to chat for a few minutes here and there throughout the day on gchat. If one or both of us is busy then we don't talk until we get home. Occasionally we'll text on our way home or after work before we get home to update the other if we're running late or going to the store or something.
If it was an emergency I would text or call him. I have yet to ever use his work phone number for anything. -

Occasionally text (depending on if what we're doing at work), sometimes we'll gchat if it's a suuuuper slow day. Otherwise just call after work/before bed.

Text and then he will usually call me when he's on his way home to see if he needs to pick up anything. We also Skype (not with the video, though) if I'm using my computer while LO naps.

I text him all day long usually, I will email him on occasion as well. Now that we have our iPhones I'm sure email won't be necessary anymore. We usually call each other at least once during the day just to say hi

@Coco Bee: OMG how does your LO not get a say in everything in your entire life! She cries if I'm talking to someone on the phone so it's impossible to have a conversation, and if I'm on the computer or texting she'll try to type or get at the phone so it's impossible. Of course I say no and then she'll sit there and cry until I stop and put it away, and it's just not worth it. Unless it's something that has to be done right then, I save it for later.

We call each other about 2 - 3 times a day, just to check in, with an occasional text.

Face to face because we are together ALL DAY! Haha, not really but most of the day. We still text when he's out.
