I solo parent a lot during the week. He leaves before they're up and gets home well after bedtime. On the weekends, he gets them up and changed and I do breakfast. We take turns with diapers, he does baths and I do meals. We split them for bedtime. DD1 also likes brushing her teeth with DH in the morning and "shaving" her face with him if she's up early enough.

I do most of it since he leaves before any of us are awake for the day and he gets home after dinner.

He usually gets DD to bed in the evenings and I do DS

I do the whole morning thing. DH leaves for work at 5:45. He has both kids until dinnertime. Then we just tag team until bed time. There's no specific routine or rhyme or reason.

I change Logan's overnight diaper and nurse him. Then Hubs gets both boys up and dressed for the day, gives Xander breakfast, and brings them both to daycare. I pick them both up at night and start dinner for them both and then Hubs gets home and helps. Half the time, I play with both kids after dinner (or give them both baths) and the other half, both of us do. Then Hubs does Xander's bedtime while I do Logan's (because I'm still nursing to sleep).

I do almost everything (unless he's working at home and he will feed her or hang with her while I shower) until he's home from work, then it's 50/50. He does the first wake up diaper changes since I have a hard time going back to sleep when I do it.

I do all of it unless I'm really busy at work, and then after he gets home we'll have dinner and he'll do bedtime routine. But it's a hassle and frustrating. He won't give her a bath, and bed time is always soooo late. I have to keep coming out and reminding and then I feel like a nag when he's the one who is trying to put a 2 year old to bed at 9/10...

Luckily he's better on the weekends but I still get frustrated because I feel like it's all "my job" unless I ask him to do XYZ, which doesn't seem the way it should be.

- DH gets up with her and gets her breakfast while I sleep a little longer and shower (this can be an hour long)
- I watch her and get her dressed while he showers
- I drop her at daycare and pick her up again, then watch her at home until DH arrives (usually not long)
- We both do dinner, play with her a bit, then do bath and bedtime together
- I still nurse her before bed (hoping to wean soon)

This sounds like an even split when I write it out, but DH really does more. The hour in the morning is rough on him. I need to step it up but I am pregnant so he has been letting me sleep longer. He also does most of the cooking for us (although I am usually watching LO while he cooks).

On daycare days, dh packs her lunch while I get her up/nurse, and usually changes diaper/gets her dressed while I dress, though I always pick out her clothes. It varies who sits with her while she eats-- I do if he's out walking the dogs, he does if he's back. I do drop off since dh works from home, so mornings are all about getting me and lo ready. I do pick up as well, and we're back home by 3:30 but dh works until 5, so I get her a snack and play with her. I usually get her dinner ready, though dh makes adult dinner and sometimes she eats then as well. Baths are every other night, and usually I do bath but not always. dh usually dries her off and puts her pjs on. I nurse, and then dh rocks/pats her until she falls asleep.

I wake up and nurse the baby, then leave him in bed with DH while I shower.
I take both kids downstairs, make breakfast and get them dressed. DH will make breakfast if he has a later morning. When I'm working, he takes K to daycare, but now that I'm on mat leave I do most of the morning stuff.

We trade off for bath time/dinner dishes, and he puts K to bed while I get M ready for the night. I do all newborn night wakings, and he does about half of K's (infrequent) wake ups.

I do mostly everything. My husband does work, and is still in the 50s time frame where the wife should be the one taking care of the kids. I get overwhelmed by it sometimes and ask him for help. He will help about 80% of the time.

I do most of it. I get them ready for daycare and do baths and bedtime. Part of it is because of my husband's shift schedule. He isn't home for a lot of this. But partially it's because he doesn't think of these things. He'll be too busy playing with them to realize it's bath time, etc. But he does help feed them, change diapers, etc.

Eta - It does often get frustrating. But I've noticed as we add kids and they get older, he does more. I also think that because we have boys, he will do more for them later on. I don't think it will ever be 50/50 though.

Mr. Bee does mornings which means he wakes up with the kids, makes the breakfast, packs lunch if I haven't, then gets Charlie dressed and off to school.

Olive's school starts later so I get her dressed and off to school. Then I pick her up (her school ends 2 hours earlier than Charlie's after school) and Mr. Bee picks up Charlie.

I usually pack lunches but have been slacking lately. I cook dinner every night.

He does bathtime (2-3 times a week), and I put Charlie down while he puts Olive down.

If you factor that I pick up Olive early, I guess it evens out. But in general he does a little more childcare.

My husband is leaving for work right when the kids are waking up, or often he is already out the door for work when the kids wake up. So, I do everything for both of them except weekends when its more even. Including getting them up and changed, making breakfast, making lunch for the 3 year old for school. The nanny gets here at 7:30 on school days and I need to leave at 7:45 to get the older to school....but she cleans up from breakfast and does dishes once the baby is down for his nap.

As far as evenings....I make dinner 90% of the time. My husband gets home at dinner time. He bathes both kids while I do the dishes. I put baby to bed, he puts big kid to bed.

I do everything for both LOs, basically. DH leaves before the kids are up. DH gives DS some attention when he gets home from work (right before bedtime) and does DS's bath every night that he's home in time. When he is off work he is more hands on...but not until we wake him up!

I stay home so I do everything all day. When DH comes home he pretty much takes over everything, but we are all there together. He has always done bath and bedtime unless he has to study.

I nurse DD and DH changes most of her diapers. We both snuggle and soothe her. She's only 5 days old so there isn't much to do right now.

Generally DH does mornings & I do afternoons/dinner. We both do bedtime. It works out like this:

morning - DH gets DS up, changes diaper, brings him downstairs and makes/gives him breakfast, makes bottles/sippy cups to take to nanny, gets dressed, and takes to nanny share or does nanny handoff (usually spanning hours of 6:30-8:15). he also walks the dog & takes DS with him.

after work - I pick up/hand off from nanny around 4:45. I put away stuff from his bag/lunch, play/entertain/walk the dog with him in tow, and make his dinner. I usually feed him dinner around 5:45-6 while I wait for DH to get home.

bedtime routine for DS is around 6:15-6:45pm - DH and I do that jointly - he bathes DS every other night while I get out PJs, outfit for next day, fold DS's laundry, etc. we put him in PJs together, one of us gives him a bottle while the other reads bedtime stories, then one person sings/rocks DS a little and puts him in the crib and the other person goes down & starts our dinner (we usually switch off although I tend to hog the snuggling portion of the evening).

after DS goes to bed - we cook together, I do laundry, I pack lunch & snacks for DS, make sure his bag is stocked (diapers, wipes, extra outfit, lovey, sleep sack, sippy cups, etc.). generally DH likes to handle meal prep/cleanup and I tend to do organizational things more.

Unless DH has to go to work early, he gets LO up and changes her diaper and gets her breakfast. Depending on how fast she eats sometimes he finishes breakfast with her or sometimes I take over so he can get ready for work. I do the rest of the day since I SAH (although when I get a job I will probably leave for work before she wakes so he'll be in charge of getting her dressed and to daycare). When he gets home he watches her while I make dinner and we eat together and generally play together until bedtime. We take turns with bedtime.

mornings - DH changes her diaper and gives her a snack before he leaves for work (she eats her real breakfast at daycare). I get her dressed, food for the day packed and drop her off at daycare on my way to work.

afternoon/evening - I pick up LO from daycare, play with her and give her dinner. DH gets home around 6, but has more work to do. I bathe LO then she plays with us while we eat dinner. I brush her teeth, put on pajamas, read stories and then DH puts her in the crib.
