I like to buy things. It's a dangerous methodology. I'm trying to "window shop" online instead.

All my cheering up things are food related like a chi tea from Starbucks or some ice cream. So bad!

I'm in both the food and shopping camp. It's dangerous. But the most effective thing for me is to get DH to take me on a date. A movie, tapas(, and a cocktail) are the way to my happy place.

I'm a fan of seasonally appropriate beverages as a pick-me-up. So in winter, I'll get a hot cider or a pumpkin latte or something, and in the summer I'll get a lemonade or iced tea.

Food usually, although it rarely is super effective and exercise works better (even just a short walk) BUT when I am in a bad mood or upset I usually don't want to.

Usually food but right now I'm not hungry. My daughter is the best thing to cheer me up ever, she lifts up my too, blows raspberries on my tummy then cracks up laughing. How could you not smile at that?

Shopping
Eating
Salon of some sort (hair or nail)
Sex (if I can get into the mood)
And chick flicks (something from my teens that I've seen 25x before preferrably)

Food. It's a dangerous habit to have. Shopping comes next, those that usually makes me feel guilty!

Yes, food is another one for me too. Those Entenmann's chocolate chip cookies I just ate were good.

Retail therapy! Working out (sometimes, depends on why I'm in a bad mood), painting mg nails, a hot bath, a little alone time, sewing or crafting, baby snuggles and laughs...

Retail therapy for me, too! Although, the other night I drowned my tantrum filled sorrows in a pint of Ben & Jerry's.

Comforting TV (like old episodes of Gilmore Girls, Golden Girls, Friends, etc), preferably with some soda and a salty snack or cold leftovers.
Tea or coffee and a sweet.
Having a book that I'm so into that I can look forward to.
Texting a bff.
Reading mindless websites with a snack.
Looking back at photos/videos of good times in my life, digital or paper.
Long drive with DH and LO and a good podcast.
Doing something organizational, like filling some mail or budgeting or meal-planning, those things are soothing to me.
And when LO is in a silly and giggly mood and agrees to a tickle fight!

Music is a big one for me. If I put on something "bouncy" i tend to feel better. I also exercise and shop/window shop. A lot of times just getting out of the house for a short errand leaves me feeling accomplished.

I organize something, lol. Lately, I have gotten a lot of satisfaction from donating our no longer used clothing.

I always think shopping will help - but it never does!
I think if I really needed to cheer up it would involve girlfriends, a yummy meal, and gossiping
