Do you use a straightener or curling iron or wand?
I tried straightening my (short-ish) hair with my flat iron this morning. Half my head looks fab and the other side looks flat. :\
I'm much better with a good old curling iron!

I curl my hair with my straightener. I have thick, full hair so it's hard for it to look flat. I like the straightener because it flattens while curling.

Curling wand FTW! It is so so easy to get the curl/wave you want. To avoid the half-flat issue, you might just need to make sure you curl away from your face when styling the pieces that frame your face, and then mix up the direction of the curl throughout the rest of your hair.

I use a straightener. I find that using an iron my curls will fall flat much quicker then if I use a straightener. I have not tried a wand yet though.

Straightener. I tried a wand once or twice but kept burning myself hahs

I use a curling iron but leave the bottom inch out of it to get beachy like curls.

I'm faster with a straightener so if I'm pressed for time I use that
but if I have more time and am going somewhere special I will use my curling iron

wand! I have shoulder length hair, and can never get it to curl with a straightener.

I scrunch it with gel, HAHA. But if I want different curl, I use a wand. I used to use a flat iron to do it, but I like the curls the wand makes better.

I just a curling iron. I have two different size barrels for two different styles.
One is larger and I use that if I want my hair mostly straight with the ends curved. The other is smaller and I use it to make beachy waves (I prefer my hair this way).
My hair is naturally very straight and boring.

I use a curling iron when I want a different, more polished curl (curly hair queen here). I don't like the way my straightening iron does it and my hair isn't really long enough for me to use a wand successfully.

I use an old fashioned curling iron. According to style magazines, curling irons result in "prom hair". Guess I better go pick out a dress...
Curling wands are intriguing but a) I don't want to store another tool and b) I don't want to spend money for something I basically have. Besides, I think I'd be really slow and burn the crap out of my hand. Really, I'm just uncoordinated.

I use hot rollers or I sleep in tiny buns.
@MrsSRS: I was wondering the same thing!!

Curling iron! Curling wands take too long and curling with a flat iron gives me inconsistent results.

I switch back and forth between my curling wand and my regular curling iron

@mrsjyw: do you like the NuMe? I feel like it doesn't hold the curl! But your hair looked fab with it so I keep trying it.

I use a curling iron as a wand, I don't use the clamp. I've been eyeing a nume set!

Well, my hair is naturally wavy, so I generally don't do anything.
However, for a really long time I was blowdrying my hair straight and then using a curling iron for a different type of curl.

I use a curling iron!
What is a wand?
Has anyone used this thing I see all over Facebook called "Thyme"? I'm so intrigued by it!!?

I get an American Wave in the summers. My hair won't hold a curl otherwise.

@Mrs D: A wand is basically a curling iron without the clip thing to hold your hair on. You use your hand to wind your hair around the barrel, hold it for a few seconds, then just let go.

@MrsSRS: there are a ton of youtube videos for it. I have medium length hair so I take the flat iron and rotate it away from my face while running it through my hair. :)@Ms. RV:
