My son will be 2.5 in March and is generally pretty well behaved for a 2 year old. We've never needed to do timeout or anything because he listens pretty well. BUT we have noticed in the last few weeks that he's really starting to get fresh with DH and I. We are trying to tell him you don't talk to mommy and daddy that way, but it doesn't seem to help. Any tips?

@SeptMomma12: We did of lot of "it's not nice to talk that way, it hurts mommy's feelings" etc to hammer home that it is undesirable behaviour. Good luck, it gets better and worse all at the same time.

Oh lord DD gives me tons of attitude. I tell her it's not nice to talk to mommy like that and she'll get a time out if she continues. Usually it's at the end of the day when she's tired and getting crazy but I makes me scared for when she's a teenager!
