If you have cookbooks, how do you display them? In the kitchen? On a bookshelf? I have about 6-10 favorites I'd like to display and be able to grab easily.
Ideas? Thanks!

Oh man, mine are everywhere. Our kitchen cupboards have glass doors so I have some on a shelf there, some stacked vertically on the counter, some standing on the other side of the counter, and more in a magazine rack. I have a cookbook problem.

We have some open shelving in the kitchen and I stack them there.

We have shelves built into the endcaps of our coffee bar and one counter. I'd include a pic but we just moved in and our books are currently piled messily, not displayed nicely. Some day!

We put ours above our cabinets with two bookends. I would be lying if I didn't say that I just jump up on the counter to grab them easily instead of getting a stool.

I don't display them. They live in the book shelf. I don't have any room for them in my kitchen.

@erinbaderin: Hmm I was considering our kitchen cupboards because they have glass doors also. I'll try that!
Thanks, ladies!!!

@RonjaL7: I thought about getting bookends or using other kitchen appliances as book ends as well.

I have about 75 cookbooks so they have their own shelving unit in the kitchen, we also display a few nice serving pieces mixed in.

I used to keep mine on a kitchen shelf when I had room. I used them a lot. Now they're outside the kitchen in a closet and never see the light of day because it's such a pain to dig them out. Kitchen is definitely better in my opinion...

@madisonbee: out of curiosity, what are your favorites? I've decided my winter bucket list is going to involve cooking some new things. If it's too cold to go outside, next best thing is eating...

They are on top of the fridge. I have a nifty little book holder and a recipe card box up there. I'd keep them on the counter but my kid destroys books.

have a tall floating bookshelf where you stack the books with the spines horizontal, the cookbooks are on the top half.
in the new house there will be built in shelves at one end of the island.

Right now they are everywhere...not very organized!
Next weekend (when DH is away and I have some free time) I am overhauling the top of my buffet in the kitchen (its currently set up for Christmas) and will be putting mine there...I plan to have 10-15 out...the ones I use most regularly!
In my dream kitchen, I have a bookshelf that is at one end of an 8' island where I can keep loads more!

As you walk into our kitchen, there is a blank wall on the left side. I have a shelf hung high on that wall for cookbooks. I plan to hang some artwork I have lying around below it. We purposely hung it high because the entry is a bit narrow and didn't want to bang into it constantly.

@periwinklebee: Sorry, I didn't get a notification about this comment! My favorites have been Juli Bauer's Paleo Cookbook and The Best Mexican Recipes from America's Test Kitchen.
I have a couple of her Paleo books and DH actually really enjoys the food. And he's also Mexican and so far the Mexican recipe book has been a hit with him for somewhat authentic cooking.
Then I have a couple recipe books from Costco. I forget what time of year they hand them out when you're leaving the store, but it's amazing! And easy to find ingredients considering they're all from Costco.

@Mrs D: I totally wanna get a buffet and do that! And a bookshelf as well. My dreams are way bigger than our budget!

@madisonbee: Thank you, this is super helpful, I love paleo, and Mexican, food! A long time ago I had a trader joes cookbook that sounds sort of like the Costco ones, it was awesome!
