I use one of the online ones....I've used H&R Block, TurboTax and TaxSlayer. I can't remember which one I like the most, but I've gotten emails from all three of them today!

I've used taxes layer and turbo tax. Usually wait to see if I get a coupon or something. I hate paying to file my taxes, but generally am too lazy to hand write them.

Used to use an online tool too; but now that I am married & DH has a complicated filing due to his job, we are going w/ a CPA.

We have a sweet man do them for us. When I was single I used TurboTax or H&R, but it's so much easier for our guy to do them now. He's so good at making sure we write off all we can and he is super informative.

We use a CPA since our taxes are complicated. He comes to our house and only costs about $15 more than Turbo Tax!

I use to use Turbo Tax when it was just me. But now DH and I have accountant.

TurboTax! We'd have to be pretty organized to be able to deal with someone else doing it, so it's easier just to do it ourselves.

CPA for us. I've been terrified of doing my own taxes since I was 14 and working just a measly part-time job, so now that we're both employed and have retirement funds and a new deduction coming, etc, I'll leave it to the pros.

I have an accountant do them. It's a little pricey but I have a complicated tax situation.

Tax Act- my husband files, and as early as possible. We're not very well off so we look forward to the refund!
Question for fellow Bees-does having a first child significantly affect the outcome of your taxes?

I used to use Turbotax when I was single.
We have a CPA who does our taxes for us.

We have a CPA-- we used to just do them online ourselves when we had no assets and could use a 1040EZ... not anymore

@lovehoneybee: we always use turbo tax. Things are starting to get complicated though!

@MoonMoon: yes, having a baby significantly increased our refund. We were thrilled and not expecting it (and also on a tight budget)
We use turbotax online, but this will likely be our last year doing that because DH is starying his own business this year. We used an accountant the first year we got married becaise DH had a 199 and we weren't sure if we should file jointly or alone.

Ours are complicated so we have a CPA. Stinks because it is expensive! Hopefully the return for having a little one will help offset that!

We used the free TurboTax, BUT we also got a letter in OCTOBER that we hadn't paid enough and had to pony up another $200. Makes me hesitate to use it since they "guarantee" their services only if you use the paid version.

We are going to a guy my parents know this year. We were going to another friend last year, we don't like to do them ourselves.

We use a CPA. Saves time and money cause he gets us a lower tax bill than using the self serve models.

I've never filed my own taxes since they've never been simple. We have a CPA.
@littlek: I don't think I ever realized you were a CPA!

I use turbo tax for my US taxes and an accountant for my Austrian taxes.

We have a CPA do them. It's a friends aunt so she barely charges us.

We use TurboTax. We actually got audited last year for 2011 I believe (due to student tax credit forms being filled out incorrectly by my school). We signed up for the audit defense and got an awesome lawyer assigned to us for free! We ended up not owing anything because the mistake just had to be fixed. It was really awesome because I'm sure hiring someone else would have cost a lot and we had just found out we were pregnant.

Online, Mr. Lime does them. He was a tax preparer, on the side, in a different life.

Up until this year I have done them online, but from now on we will be using a CPA that did my taxes then I was in college.
