DH and I disagree on how to dress DS for bed(or just how to dress him in general). I'm always cold and DH is always hot. LO seems to have more of his daddy's body temp so I usually go with what DH is wearing and add a little...if it was up to DH, G would be in a diaper only all day everyday.
The last few nights have gotten a little cooler here(buffalo) and when I wake up to give G his middle of the night bottle(DH puts him to sleep every night) he's in just a diaper...I think he should be in more(at least a onesie!). I then put him in a onesie and a swaddle. What do you dress LO on for bed on cooler summer nights?

Pretty warm here, usually just a short sleeve onesie and sleepsack. Sometimes just a diaper and sleep sack.

I put her in a short sleeve shirt and cotton pants -
So much depends on the weather! I always do a sleepsack, since my LO is not swaddled anymore. If it's hot, I use an A+A single layer muslin. If it's cooler, I use a Halo organic cotton.
Under that, I'll do a short sleeve or long sleeve onesie, depending on the weather. And if it's cool out, I will also put legwarmers on her. I like legwarmers because they don't cover her feet (so I feel like she won't get as hot) and they are easy to take off if I decide she's too hot.
The pediatrician basically said one more layer than I am comfortable in.

at least a onesie, usually short sleeve and cotton pants combo, my biggest fear with only using a diaper as pajamas is going in the nursery in the morning and finding LO's diaper off and possible contents of said diaper everywhere

We tend to dress up our LO more on the warm side. We always have our temperature at 76 so it's pretty constant. In the winters we would have him wear a short sleeve shirt underneath a fleece footed PJs and in the summer, he wears a thick cotton long sleeved shirt and cotton long pants. He hates having blankets on top of him so it's the only way to keep him warm. I noticed that he wakes up more in the middle of the night if I don't dress him warmly. We did a few experiments with different PJs and noticed that when he's warmer, he sleeps through the night!

We usually do a white short-sleeved onesie and a swaddle. Generally her room is in the mid-to-upper 70s when she goes down to bed, and it drops to the lower 70s overnight. One night a couple of weeks ago we ha a seriously hot day, and her room was over 80 degrees when she went to bed. That night we just put her in a diaper and swaddle, but that's the only time we've done that.

It's pretty cold every night here so at the very least a footy pajama and sleep sack, unless it's EXTREMELY (relatively) hot, then a long-sleeve onesie and sleep sack.
When you touch your baby after he's asleep in just the diaper, is he cold (like are his hands not cool but quite cold)? If not, I'd say he's fine.

just a diaper is too cold even for an adult i think.
we keep the ac on in the summer so olive sleeps in a long sleeve onesie and a sleep sack.

summer + winter i dress her the same because we keep the temperature pretty constant inside. long sleeve shirt and pants. plus she uses a thin muslin sheet. she's 2.

Thanks...I was beginning to think I was the crazy one for wanted to put clothes on the kid to sleep. And he's only 8 weeks old...don't know how I can get through to DH

Lol, my DH and I often disagree about this too. I want her to be nice and warm and snug, but then he says she'll be too warm. Then I freak out all night that she's either too warm or too cold.
Now she's always in a sleep sack and diaper.

he's always warm, so we dress him on the cooler side plus he's always wrapped up in his swaddle blanket because he kept stop itching his head due to his cradle cap.

Depends on the room temp. We usually put her to bed in a onesie and then cover her with one of her aden and anais blankets. If its very warm then just a diaper + the blanket. If its very cold we put her in her sleep sack, but she sweats easily and hates to be hot so we dont like the sleep sack much

We have the ac on so short sleeved onesie and a cotton sleeper..and a blanket. She's comfy!

It's hot and humid where I live but I still put LO in a footed sleeper and a blanket. She's a warm sleeper but we keep the AC on 71 and she seems very content.

Even on our hottest 100+ degree heat we at least put a onesie on LO. Otherwise he wears a pj shirt and pants, unless it's warmer, then shorts.
