I have no problem with it - my SIL gives me the clothes her daughter outgrows, and a friend of mine sells me her daughter's outfits for about $3 each. Most of the clothes are more expensive (Janie and Jack, Gap, Gymboree, etc) than I am willing to pay for DD new, so I appreciate that she'll get some nice clothes on *my* budget

Love them! Always so thankfuk when someone give us then and def plan to return the favor once were done having kids! Most of my sons clothes are bought used or hand me downs.

Doesn't bother me at all. Kid clothes are so expensive, given the very short time period they're actually worn. And I bet most used kid's clothes are just barely used...I sold a bunch of E's clothes recently and there were some things in there that he'd never worn once.

Some of our favorite outfits are hand me downs. I love that there are initials for half a dozen kids on the tags because they've been handed down so much!

I wouldn't mind at all, if they are my ""taste". I hate shopping for myself so the only shopping I do is for LO. Most of my friends dress their kids way different then how I dress mine. I wouldnt like them and would rather them be given to someone who really doesn't have the means to buy anything. Ya know?

Love hand me downs! My HS friend gave me three giant bags of girl clothes sized NB-18mos, and I could not be more grateful. I don't *have* to buy her any clothes basically for the next year. I do anyways, because it's fun, but I am so happy that I don't have to budget that in!

Love them--almost his entire wardrobe is handed down! If something we get is in poor condition or unlikely ever to be worn we pass it on.

I'm always super grateful whenever I get hand me downs! I've received some things that I would have never thought to buy myself, and ended up LOVING it.

Love them - just pass on or donate what doesn't fit or what you don't like. We have hand me down clothes from 3+ years ago bc a friend was saving them in case she had another baby...I don't mind that the clothes aren't the latest trend - especially pjs or stretch pants. The best hand me downs were a ton of Trumpette socks that her daughter barely wore

About 90% of what we've accumulated so far is secondhand -- the baby is only going to be in them for a couple months at most so I'm fine with not spending a ton of money! When the baby gets bigger, we'll probably buy some super cute new outfits for "good clothes" and keep getting used stuff as play clothes.

LOVE! I have to admit... I didn't like it at first even though it was handed down directly from my family. But man... kids clothes are so expensive and they grow out of them so fast!

Bring em on. If something is really not my taste I'll just pass it on again or donate it. I organize n's clothes by favourites in the top drawer and stuff that's good enough when we just need to put something on her so sometimes when I get lazy with the laundry it's nice to know I've got some backup clothes stored.

I love them, but we don't get a lot because everyone is still having kids and saving them for the time being. But I don't even care if they are my style. We always need more play clothes because I let me son get as dirty as he wants most days.

Love them! Almost all her clothes are either hand-me-downs from my niece or bought second-hand. So far there's only been a few things that aren't my style and I just stash them in my diaper bag for blow-outs and other emergencies.

Love it! I got some things from my niece! It's not hand me downs but we buy 90% used, no point in buying brand new if I can get name brand barely used clothes for 75% or more off.

I will DEFINITELY be all about the hand me downs when LO is born! Babies cycle through clothing so quickly that a lot of items barely get used!!!

I guess I'm going to sound ungrateful, but so far the hand me downs I've gotten have sucked. Not my style at all. As someone who frequents the thrift stores around here, I'd much rather do shopping myself. Now if someone who had similar taste was willing to give me hand me downs it would be different. But id still much rather go to the thrift store and pay $10 for 25 items with no unsightly patterns or characters.

I love them, but sometimes it depends on the source. My MIL gives us hand me downs from her co-workers and always brags about the quality and name brand. I sift through them and donate about 75%. With boy's there are a lot of clothes that don't fit my style. I prefer comfort over stiff clothing like jeans and overalls.
With LO2 I have received some hand me downs from my sisters who both have girls. I appreciate their hand me downs more because of the nicer quality.

Depends on the source for me too. I'm kind of OCD about cleanliness so I wouldn't want to accept hand me downs from just anyone. That said, I would have accepted hand me downs from my closest friends BUT those who already had kids ended being up pregnant with #2 or #3 when I was pregnant with LO, and my other closest friends don't have LO's yet, so we didn't get any hand me downs.
