DD is 2.5 and DS is 10 months. Although they generally play pretty well together, DS wants to be everywhere his sister is, doing the exact same thing. Often I can give them both the same work to do (we have enough puzzles, books, blocks, etc... to share) but sometimes DD gets upset if DS is too intrusive. Right now, I encourage DD to use her words and tell DS when she doesn't want him to play with her instead of pusbhing/kicking/hitting. If she uses her words, I pick DS up and move him to another activity. I also encourage her to help him find something to play with if she doesn't want to share.

I really don't know if this approach is working, lol. I think I spend most of the day navigating between the two of them. How do you handle these situations?
