If you have a lo who trick or treats, but you also want to hand out candy, how do you do it? Does one parent stay home and hand out candy or do you leave a bowl out and pray teenagers don't steal it all (including the bowl)?

We've never dealt with this.. we'd probably skip handing out candy. haha.
Or we'd leave a bowl out with a note. -
The most common I hear is one stays home while the other goes with.

My mom always stayed home and my dad took us out trick or treating.

Yup dad took us out and mom stayed and handed out candy.

Grandparents came over and passed out candy, while we went out with DD. It was over pretty quick, they get tired and over it fast when they are small, especially when you have neighbors who show up at their doors wearing scary masks!

We take our little one's out earlier and then hand out candy when we get back. Since they're little, they don't last very long.

Planning on both of us going out with LO while my SIL hands out candy. We're just going down our street so it will be quick. Just enough for my LO to experience it and then have more fun handing out candy and seeing lots of costumes.

We would prob both take L and skip passing out candy

We just leave the candy on the front porch while we're taking DD around. This year maybe we'll have to split up since DS will need to go to bec.

We're going to take C around, mostly to show her off. DH will probably stay home and man the candy while I'm gone.

I think one will stay and one will go. Grandparents will be around too.
