If you breastfeed and don't have a regular period, how do you decide if an when to take a pregnancy test?

I tested a couple of times before my period came back at 19 months, I think. The times I did it was either because I felt off or nauseous, or I knew we'd been a little risky and I just wanted to confirm. We were pretty careful with condoms so I was usually not overly concerned.

I'd say if you're having symptoms take a test. If negative wait some days or a week and take another!

I think if something felt off and/or I had symptoms similar to previous pregnancies!

I tested because I was exhausted, nauseous and bloated.

@BandDmommy: I am always exhausted since Ryan is up 2x a night at least so that's a toughie!

I test all the time because I'm paranoid. My LOs turn one on Sunday and AF still hasn't returned. Which is AWESOME! But scary...

@twodoghouse: me too. I have tested probably 5x since M was born. Anytime I have anything that is remotely a symptom I freak out. (I'm currently in one of those periods now but am resisting the it to test!)

I tested because I felt crampy and nauseous.,, was 6 months pp with no period and lo and behold! DS2!
