Do you write your LO's name on her clothes/belongings with a Sharpie or do you iron on labels, etc?

Is this for daycare? I bought labels that can't wash off that you just stick on but I have seen most other parents just use a Sharpie.

@autumnlove: i have these for clothing: http://www.oliverslabels.com/products/product.aspx?ProductID=16
and these for bottles, bowls, etc:

but seriously, most people aren't so fancy and just use a Sharpie so it is up to you!

Use a sharpie, but I'm realizing that doesn't work for his cups, tupperware, etc. I need to get my hands on a labelmaker!

@Andrea: thanks, I'm a wreck about LO starting daycare next week! Trying to get her (me) prepared!

we got mabel's labels! love them!! except now DD2 has stuff with DD1's name on them. Haha. I don't have time to take off every label and it doesn't really matter because she's not in daycare... but just a thought if you plan to use the clothes again. Next time maybe I'll just have the label say our last name.

Ah ha! Those Oliver's labels are a great idea! That way you can actually sell the clothes when LO grows out of them!!

This isn't for clothing, but you can buy water resistant labels you can print from home for other gear (bottles, bowels, etc).
I had a few leftover sheets from printing water bottle labels for my wedding and they have worked great! I got them from OnlineLabels.com Great customer service!

I use a laundry marker on LO's clothes. For bottles etc i use a sharpie. Yeah it washes of but I just rewrite the name, it doesn't take that long!

Our daycare provides labels for bottles (I put her name on with a sharpie). I've not labelled anything else like clothes. We take and leave a diaper bag each day (a thirty-one bag embroidered with her name) and her changes of clothes are in the bag. We leave a tub of formula at daycare as well, it's labeled with a sharpie. They write her initials on her diapers as well. Her pacifier, bibs and blanket are not labeled, they are in her cubby at daycare when she's not using them.
