I picked up some Coho salmon on the way home because I wanted to be good and eat some fish although I'm not always crazy about strong salmon flavors. How do you like your salmon prepared? Do you have a favorite easy recipe?

I cover with minced garlic, a few pats of butter, a squeeze of lemon, wrap in foil and bake for 30 mins!

We do a marinade with soy sauce, olive oil, balsamic vinegar and garlic. heavy on the soy sauce and lighter on the other ingredients. Let it sit for a little while and then we pan fry it, with the cover on if it is thick. It is yummy and easy!

Layer lemon slices, thyme (or other herbs), then salmon. Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with salt and pepper. Broil about 15 minutes.

Olive oil, garlic, herbs and spices will depend on what we feel like at the time, then we bake it in the oven. In the summer, we'll grilled or smoke it. I think the key is to not over cook it.

Our go-to salmon recipe is uber simple: salt and pepper, quickly fried in butter served with a dill Bearnaise sauce.
One of my all-time faves used to be miso salmon. Shiro miso, butter, soy sauce, enoki mushrooms, broiled in aluminium foil. But I haven't cooked it in years, miso is hard to find here.

@chopsuey119: omg, the miso salmon at Cheesecake Factory is DIVINE!! I was thinking about it last week and looked up recipes to recreate the dish at home... and THEN I saw how unhealthy their version is. Eeks! Would probably skip the butter sauce if I made it at home.
Typically I make my homemade teriyaki sauce (1/2 cup low sodium soy sauce, 1/2 cup mirin rice wine. Bring to a boil, add 2 Tbs of sugar, lower heat and reduce to a thick sauce).
Then brush the salmon with the sauce and pan sear about 7 mins per side. Serve with rice and top off with some more teriyaki. YUM!

I just recently found out how easy it is to broil and this is the BEST recipe.

It gets delicious and crispy on top and stays tender underneath. YUM.
