I've always meal planned but not in an organized way and it was pretty flexible. I'm still willing to be a little flexible but I need a way to organize it better. Before grocery shopping I'll make a list of the ingredients I need but then I end up forgetting what I bought something for or using it for something else. I'm also sick of the constant struggle of "what do you want for dinner?" And getting the "I don't care" response. It becomes stressful trying to plan and cater to everyone so I'm hoping to organize it in a way so that I make a specific dish on a specific day and leave it at that.
How do you organize meal planning? Pen and paper? A meal planner? An App? Share any tips with me
We usually try and decide what we are having for each night the following week Saturday to Thurs keeping in mind any late work nights or other functions. Once we have figured out the main dish for each night we check what protein we already have frozen and add anything we need to our grocery list. Usually, we buy fresh produce every week and pantry items as needed.
I was so bummed because it was supposed to be a good 6 meals this month!
