DH is traveling for business and I HATE sleeping alone. Last night, I was so exhausted that I just kind of passed out. But, tonight the neighbors upstairs keep dropping things and walking around (it's 11pm) so I keep waking myself up thinking someone's in the house or my toddler is up and walking around.
I fall asleep very easily when he is here

I sleep amazing!! I work shift work (when I am not on Mat leave) and he occasionally travels for business and I get the best sleep when he is away or during the day! I think it is because he snores SO loudly!

I sleep horribly! I can't fall asleep either and just lie in bed reading or playing on my phone until I fall asleep. Usually he's only gone 2 nights at a time but there have been a few week long business trips and I'm a zombie bc I just don't sleep well when he's gone

Same as usual - it used to be hard to fall asleep when he was away but I am used to it now.

I'm used to it because he works a shift schedule. Actually, I prefer sleeping alone!

So good. My husband doesn't go out of town that often, but he works graveyard shift and I love when I can starfish in the bed.

I sleep terribly! I'm paranoid of every little noise and the dog waking up for things I don't hear makes it worse. I was like this before I had a baby, and I wonder if I'll be this way now (I haven't slept alone yet since LO was born)- I'm much more tired nowadays so maybe it won't be as bad! Or at least I'm hoping so, because he's going away for a week next month!

I sleep much better when DH is away. He likes to read in bed and the snoring, oh god the snoring!

My sleep is meh. 
His business trips are my oppirtunities to catch up on all the TV junk he can't stand. 
I stay up wait too late and don't quite get enough of REM before it's time to wake up again.

I prefer sleeping alone! I'm usually smothered by my toddler (at some point) and my DH and my cat.
DH also has always worked nights, so we never go to bed the same time.

@luckypenny: my DH is out of town too, and usually I sleep terribly. BUT, I'm pregnant, LO is exhausting, and we just got a home security system, so last night I slept wonderfully.

I'll just speak on before baby since sleep is just messed up now lol! I would not be able go fall asleep for some reason! When he was home I would pass out!

Just fine - not better or worse than when he's here. When we had a dog, it was great when DH was out of town, because I'd get 1/2 the bed instead of 1/3.

I sleep incredibly but we married when I was 29 and very used to having a huge bed to myself.

Terribly, but mostly because when we're not both in bed I think my three cats don't understand it's bedtime and like to gallop around the house at all hours

It doesn't really effect how well I sleep once I get in bed, but I usually stay up crazy late. I'm a total night owl, but he works early so we go to bed around 10 every night. I prefer a midnight or later bedtime. That will change once LO is here I expect!

I sleep AMAZINGLY when he's away. He snores. So. Much. I've actually been trying to get him to go away for a couple weekends this year, but he can't find any other guy friends who can go.
