By four months we were just holding her in our lap or wearing her in the ergo. We brought a diaper bag stocked with everything she needed, and if by chance she needed to eat I would just nurse her in the private parents room. It didn't usually happen, though, since church is only 1.25 hours and I would feed her right before we left.

Now, at 7.5 months, we just carry her in and sit her on our laps. If she's asleep, we'll keep her in her seat and take her in. At 4 months, I think we were still lugging the seat in.

@runsyellowlites: LO loved to start talking as soon as the sermon started, too. Also, for the first few months, if the senior pastor was preaching or leading he service, she would wail as soon as she heard him talking. .

At that age I just wore C in a ring sling. If I needed to leave to nurse or change him it was less cumbersome to just be wearing him.

At that age we'd take him into church in his carseat if he was asleep. If he was awake we'd just hold him. We brought small, quiet toys, a bottle (just in case but he usually ate right before anyway), his blankie and a paci. If he got fussy we'd take him out to the parents area.

The carseat never worked for me. We don't have pews so it didn't fit so good on the chairs. I also hated putting her on the floor. I just held her. I nursed her when she got fussy or brought a bottle.

We take him in the carseat but I usually hold him the whole time, which makes my arms a little tired, but I love looking at him and thanking God for him.

We use the Ergo or just hold him. I also take a fully stocked diaper bag just in case. Our church doesn't have extra rooms like a mom's room or a nursery. If he needs to eat, I step into the hall of r the vestibule to nurse. I do the same if he fusses. He really seems to like "talking" during the consecration, haha!
