We're planning on buying a nice dining table for the dining room!

We do have a formal dinning area and table. The layout of our formal dinning area a is semi-open concept where you can see our formal living room and casual living space too. Our kitchen is oddly stuck between the 3 spaces.
We don't have a causal dinning or office space so our formal dinning table becomes my craft table for sewing and book scrapping.

Formal table and buffet. We use it to hold mail and for Thanksgiving.

We have it set up with a table and buffet, but we never even step foot into that room. I keep thinking we should have just left it empty and used it for a play room in the future.

We don't have a formal table. We just have our regular kitchen table. There is space in our kitchen for a littler table that we could use if we wanted a formal table where ours is, but we have a kid table for lo there instead. Our house is very open and we are very casual so it would look weird to have something formal.

It was empty for the first three years. We finally moved our kitchen table out there and extended it with the leaves. It's nice to have a separate room to eat in since the kitchen was a tad cramped before. Our kitchen table was next to the washer and dryer.

We have an eat-in section of our kitchen with a 4-person table that mostly holds the mail & our work bags. Our "formal" dining room isn't very formal. It has a bigger (6-person) table, and LO's high chair. We usually eat dinner there, but we also tend to keep our laptops on it and do work at it during the day. It opens up to our living/family room.
Before we had our bigger table (and LO...), we used it for ironing

We have a formal dining table, buffet, and china cabinet. We use it when we have others over for dinner. Mainly it is our study zone for grad school.

We have a formal dining table and had a beautiful light put in, but after 2 years of never using the room, finally decided to use the room as a shared office. The actual office is going to become a yoga room!

We have a dining table and chairs on the space. The vibe is "family friendly" not formal at all...we have a two tone table, charcoal chairs and an outdoor rug. I am painting a buffet red, lol.
Our lives aren't formal enough for anything more!

We have a very formal Chinese dining table/buffet but it shares the room with my very informal office/computer desk.

We have a table but it is just our old apt dining room table. We will get a set more suitable for a house some day but we never eat in there anyway.
