When I was pregnant with DS, I called him Butterbean. I think it's super cute! He's 8 months old and it's still one of his nicknames.
What nickname(s) did you give your LO?

Right now, the baby is just the baby. Sometimes I jokingly refer to it as "Pat Shim" because we won't be finding out the sex until b-day!

Everyone in our household (me, DH, our dog) is nicknamed Teeny. So, the baby is Baby Teeny.

Blue, it stuck from the time he was the size of a blueberry. More often than that we called him The Fetus.

One night DH randomly referred to LO as Sneakers, and for some reason it made me laugh so much that it just stuck. We've finally settled on a name, but we (and friends) still refer to her as Sneakers quite a bit.

Pop, Popper, or Poppy since the first size email we got said baby was the size of a poppy seed.

Poppy - at one point early in the pregnancy we read the baby was the size of a poppyseed, so we started saying "Poppy" and it stuck.

@Boogs: I like "the Fetus!" It cracks me up when I hear it. I always think "Cletus the Fetus." I don't even know why. =P

Gummybear. Once we found out the gender, DH named her and started calling her by that name. I still call her Baby, Baby Girl or Gummybear.

We call our little girl, Roo. We've been calling her that since about month two of pregnancy.

@Sweet T: Lol! It's funny because he's one now, but we still call him that pretty often.

@Sweet T: Thank you! My little sister (6) thought that was our actual name choice if it turns out to be a boy lol (we're team green)!

@cheesetomywhine: One of my really good friends just started referring to my baby as tater tot. And she calls our other pregnant friend's baby "chicken nugget"

I call him Buddy or Buppy (not sure why). My husband calls him Kiddo!

We just call it Baby right now and my dad calls him/her "lil gus" since his nickname is Gus. We don't know if it's a boy or girl yet...my dad is really rallying for a boy! haha

Just "the baby" Usually when we're talking about the baby we don't even say that, we just refer to the baby as her/she, etc. We all think that she's a girl even though we won't know for sure until the 15th!

BGH (baby girl Hopkins NOT bovine growth hormone *snort*) and Lady Bird (my husband came up with that one.

We're calling ours Ponyo, after the title character in the Hiyao Miyazaki film that came out in 2008. (Miley Cyrus' younger sister does Ponyo's voice in the English dubbed version.) Ponyo is a girl and we don't know our LO's sex yet, but we are going with it anyway because we like the name and association. In the film, Ponyo starts out as a little tadpole before she becomes a human girl.

We called ours the 'parasite'...in the most loving way, of course

@highwire: We are like you, except our universal nickname (for me, my husband, our cat, etc.) is "Lou." Sometimes it's Looey, on occasion "Louise" for me, and when my husband's in trouble, I address him with the more formal "Louis" (pronounced like Lewis). The cat is sometimes Looty Flooty or something like that. And any other Dr. Seuss-sounding varieties of the foregoing. God, why am I admitting this? It's so embarrassing.
Anyway, so our future bun in the oven will probably be Little Lou or Baby Lou

@Witz: haha! Love it. We do variations too: Teen, teeny doughnut, sugary noodle (?)

I just called her "the baby" or by name once we decided it.

We called Wagon Jr. "Baby1" when he was in the womb, because Wagon Sr. referred to me as "Baby" and didn't want to refer to us with the same name. I call Wagon Jr. "Booboo" or just "Boo" now, so I called the baby "Boo2" one day and it stuck!

Snoopy! Hubs'll ask "How're you feeling?" "Snoopy's really doing a number on my stomach right now." It randomly started because I'd tweak Hubs's nose and he started calling it a Snoopy Nose (I still don't get it), but we've just decided that this LO is Snoopy.

Little Miss, or for a period of time Princess Skeletor, due to a very funky head on shot during the anatomy scan!

First time either peanut or baby since we didn't find out gender. This time we've stuck with baby because we don't want to confuse our 2yo.
