Charlie is 4 1/2 and when he's overtired, he starts melting down.
Olive on the other hand is such a trooper... maybe just used to being a second child who has to have a more flexible schedule. She usually just gets quiet and moves more slowly. We can push her nap back hours and she's usually fine until she passes out.
How does your LO act when they're tired?

A is like olive...he just starts slowing down...rubbing eyes...yawns...but still pushes through playing... if he's really tired, he'll ask for his blanket and night night--

She gets more stubborn and defiant. She doesn't melt down, which I'm thankful for.

whiny, more tantrumy, the littlest things set her off, rubs eyes, yawns- she def melts down. she's always been very sensitive to being over-tired though.
ETA- this is how she acts when she is at home with me...if we are out and about or around other people, she is distracted enough to not even act tired.

LO 1 gets really quiet.
LO 2 cries and fusses.

He gets a little fussy, but he rubs the crap out of his eyes and nose.. if you look at him and his eyes/ face are red..he's tired!

LO can easily push back or skip her nap at this age with no problem. But on those days I can tell she's getting tired close to bedtime bc she kind of goes crazy - more excitable, can't calm down or slow down to listen, so distracted and just really wired.
When she was younger she would cry at the smallest thing and so we'd know she was over tired...hasn't happened in months and months

LO is only 8 weeks, but when she's starting to get tired she yawns and her eyes get red and she rubs them with her tiny fists (so cute). If we miss the window and she gets overtired then she is super cranky and whiny and cries a lot.

LO1 gets really defiant when she's tired - not in a nasty way, but she'll just start touching all of the stuff she knows she's not supposed to, or she'll stop listening to directions (she's normally a great listener). She doesn't get grumpy or melt down though, which I am very happy about - she just turned 2.
LO2 is five months and gets a bit whiny, mixed with lots of laughing, when she's overtired.

He melts down and will usually start screaming. As soon as we put him in his crib he snuggles in and quiets right down. This boy loves his sleep!

If he's playing or is occupied, he'll rub his eyes and have tired eyes, but keepy playing until it's quiet and I bring his energy level back to 0. If he's sitting still or isn't occupied, he'll get fussy and start throwing his back backwards.

My DD starts walking funny like she's drunk and she will get whiny and irritable. My DS starts acting delirious.. like super amped up. He will dance around and flail his arms around. They stay up once in a while for special things but the next day is never pretty!

She gets a bit hyper, laughs more. We call it wired and tired. But then eventually she will start crying and totally melt down.

It depends on the day, but when it's really bad he's sensitive about everything.

Olive is so cute I always thought kids were supposed to be like that. Sigh. My LO cries like he was possessed. He does this twist and turn thing too, sometimes I can't even hold him down. It is especially tricky when I still try to make him take a bath. Sigh.

DD gets quieter, starts zoning out, head starts bobbing, rubs eyes... but still tries to trek on and keep playing! DS is really flexible and easygoing, so he just falls asleep wherever when he's tired! You don't even notice that he's knocked out because he doesn't fuss about it.

Both become very whiney and become difficult to soothe and/or talk sense to. They're very much alike already.

LO gets whiny and tantrum heavy. When he's tired, he acts out the most. Most of his timeouts occur when he's tired.
