If something happened a week ago, our three-year-old daughter refers to it as "yesterday"! Same goes for a month ago, six months ago, a year ago, etc.
Our son did the same thing when he was younger, but now he says, "a long time ago."

For semi-long amounts of time (at least a couple months), my nephew (4) always says 'when I was a baby', cracks us up!

everything is yesterday for the past. so it's hard to get a story straight from her ... like if she says, "so and so bite me yesterday" ... i'm not sure if it's really something that recently happened or if she's retelling me about the time someone bit her a month ago!
