M yells "EAT!"
M yells "EAT!"

She's only 7 months so she can't talk yet, but it's so funny--when she's hungry she makes an "M" sound but it's really drawn out so it sounds like "eeemmmmmmmmmaaaaa" over and over again. Emma was at the top of our name list for her, so we always talk about how if we had named her Emma we would think she's a genius and was saying her name.

DS runs to his chair and says more. Or he'll say more more in a drawn out way that sounds like mama

Ummm... Xander's 12 months and I have no idea how to tell if he's hungry or not.... I just feed him when I think he should eat!

DS is 5 months and he goes from zero to starving in about 2 seconds. I get a few "coughing" type whiny cries, and then if he doesn't get fed immediately, I get all out screaming until he gets his bottle. Been like this from the second he was born. Kid needs to learn some patience!
Even our daycare teachers say "you have a great little boy, but he sure does let us know when he's hungry!"

Nope! She doesn't cry usually, but will still go to town on some food. She is starting to follow me around the kitchen and holds her hands up so I pick her up to put in the high chair.

He points at food and says it's name. He knows where we keep all the food, so he will walk over to it an d request it. If we aren't paying attention, he grabs our hand and walks us over to what he wants.

2 ways 1) she stands in front of her chair jumping up and down saying "food" or 2) she runs to her snack cupboard and says "frrrrut snicks" or "cooookie" everythign is very dramatic and drawn out when hunger is involved

DS is 7 months and he gets a lil cranky/fussy when he's starving, but if he's just hungry, he seems to be okay.
nectarine / 2504 posts
DS will say food, eat, mum mum?!?! He'll also drag me in the kitchen and start rattling off things he wants to eat... cheese, orange, grapes, yogurt, soup, raisins, etc.
