I don't hoard clothes anymore. I like shopping too much and sales are year round!

LO has a few pairs of shoes in the next size!

I can't hoard, I enjoy shopping too much. I "stocked" up for winter this year only to have her hit a huge growth spurt & I had to go buy more in the next size up. I'll stick with buying as needed! Shoes I refuse, I bought Sperry's and she has too skinny of feet for them

Depends how far in advance my neighbor gives me clothes!

That being said, I sent my 17 month old child to daycare today in 24 month overalls and a 24 month onesie. I never thought she'd be in 24 month clothes already...

I have barely bought any clothes for LO, and only in her current size, but she's only 3.5 months old and we received a ton of gifts and hand me downs. I have no idea what size she will be for any future seasons, so I'm not even going there. As it is I have favorite outfits of hers that she only wore once or twice.

As she gets bigger and goes through sizes less quickly I'm sure I will hoard more.

Not so much now that he is nearly two. When he was a baby I had up to 2T.

I only hoard a size ahead. Shoes, I am careful to only hoard one size ahead and something that is seasonless like sneaker or black dress shoe. I have burned too many times with shoes. Which is why a lot of them have shown up in HB classifieds

umm i have stuff in 4t. he's 16 months.

I did when I found out when I was preggo last year. I went to Carter's and bought quite a bit from the Clearance section since it was extra 25% off. I bought a majority of the clothes in 6 months and like 2-3 items in newborn, 3 months, and 12 months since most people said their babies outgrew newborn and 3 month sizes hella fast. Well, DS was an IUGR baby and is just now fitting well into 3 month clothing. Needless to say, I had to go out and buy more 3 month clothing because he had practically nothing and all his 6 month clothing is hanging up on hangers with tags on them staring at me daily. At this rate, he won't be able to wear 6 month clothing until he's more like 7+ months, which thankfully is still cold season. Otherwise, oh man!

Two sizes ahead! Right now she's in 6mo, and I'm buying 9 & 12 month. The seasons here are made for layers, so even if the short-sleeved shirt fits her in March instead of July, I can layer it and it'll work.

If I lived in a more 'extreme' climate, I probably wouldn't buy ahead so much!

I usually buy a size ahead.

If I find a good sale, I'll buy a size ahead. Shoes, I'll buy 2 sizes ahead. I've had a pair of SKRs in size 5 that I figured T wouldn't wear until December and I bought them in May!

@winniebee: @littlek: The Emu boots are 12-18 months but were HUGE last year when he was wearing a 4/4.5, the rest are all size 5s.

I only hoard basics that I get on super clearance. Though she's already chewing through my 18-24 legging stash. Our seasons are just too extreme for much hoarding,

I ordered size 5 shoes when I was still preggers! lol! I have curbed the hoarding tendencies since LO actually arrived. It has to be something I REALLY love/could see a lot of use out of to be hoarded. So-so things I've ended up not even using seem like more of a waste of space than money.

But I do think shoes are tough. I'll hoard quality shoes at a good deal, because they are so expensive full-price. It's easier though for us since we don't have extreme weather.
