When you started working on the nursery (not just pinning like crazy!) I'm only 17 weeks but we have two layers of wallpaper to remove, wall repair and painting to do...itching to get started! I think we started around 30 was with DS.

I am 30 weeks now and am working on the nursery. It is almost done. It required painting, putting together the dresser, and recovering our glider. I do not like to be rushed and needed to see what we still had from baby #1. I also know that I don't feel well and the end of pregnancy.

We started really early, like early second tri. However, she's here (in the nicu) and we're not done. So it's relative.

Hmm probably sometime during second trimester?? I basically did everything myself....painted, decorated, etc. if I had to wait for DH I would still be waiting now....

I started around 15 weeks. I was excited and also didn't want to be rushed at the end.

I'm 29 weeks with #2 and we haven't started yet at all!! We need to though. We know what we are doing too, just need to reshuffle things and furniture pieces!

I started around 28w. We had to replaster a wall and paint. It took forever and wish we started sooner. I say go for it!

I'm 32, almost 33 weeks and today DH *just* started priming a wall. Crib, dresser, bookshelf are still in boxes, in pieces... so... I am feeling like we're behind. I would have preferred it to be a lot closer to done by now.

I painted the room before we even started TTC! I'm the handy one between me and DH, and I didn't want to deal with paint fumes while pregnant. Will probably wait until second trimester to buy furniture, although I already have most of it picked out.

@maybebaby: We ordered the furniture, does that count? And have some supplies sitting in piles. No actual work to the room has been done yet. I am 20w3d.

We started buying things after our anatomy scan and just did it little by little. We didn't paint the room so it was mostly assembling furniture and putting it where we wanted it.

We started after our 20 week ultrasound. We didn't need to paint since it was already done. Now at 36 weeks I am so glad it's all done since I'm too exhausted to do anything these days

20 weeks with my first!

7 weeks after he was born. We bought a new house right before I had him.

I'm 18 weeks right now, and I bought the paint for the nursery last week. I will be in grad school full time right up until the birth, and there are several projects (wall paint, sanding and repainting a dresser, making curtains) that I will be doing myself, so I want to avoid procrastinating (or waiting until I am huge and uncomfortable).

I am almost 19 and haven't started yet. I would, but I've not yet been inspired. I do want to start on the playroom this month, I have some great ideas for that.

I started acquiring things at around 14 weeks. Slowly bought the furniture and small things here and there. DH painted the walls last week (30 weeks) and this weekend we were able to move in the furniture and her things. He just finished hanging wall art. Still plenty to do though!

With DD we got a lot done before 20 weeks. Now I'm 31 weeks with DS and only just moved DD (17 mo) out of the nursery. Planning on cleaning it out tomorrow.

We painted the nursery at 4 months and waited til after the anatomy scan to start purchasing furniture. Then I waited until after our baby shower at 32 Wks to start decorating. We should be totally finished by this week, 36 Wks. Then I'm going to spend the last month washing baby stuff and stocking the freezer!

My husband did a bit of construction in the nursery, so we started around early to mid-second trimester, near where you are now, with painting and getting the walls ready. It took us a little longer to get the furniture and things in, mostly due to a couple of mix ups at the store. We just put the final touches on the room with hanging artwork, etc. this weekend at 34 weeks. The only thing I'm waiting on now is the curtain I ordered to come in!

37 weeks! The week I was scheduled to be induced. Talk about procrastinating!

Around 10 weeks when we got the crib. My shower was at my house so I wanted the nursery done by then- 32 weeks. After that it was just washing and putting things away from the shower.

With DS1, I was in the second trimester (it was after we found out the gender at 20 weeks).
DS2, we found out the gender at 10 weeks with the blood test. We started early because there was a lot to do cleaning out the room and then trying to decide on a second boy nursery scheme that was different from DS1's, but incorporated some of DS1's things that were being passed down.

I'm 24 weeks right now and the hubby just painted the nursery this weekend. We wanted to wait until after the 20 week u/s to make sure everything looked good before starting the nursery. We're having new carpet put in during the month of August (would schedule now but we're having a new master shower put in this month and wanted to spread out the work and cost!) then we'll start filling it with furniture, etc.

DS1: 38-39 weeks. We moved at 38 weeks
DD: When she was about 5 mo. We moved. I'm still working on it

With LO1 we had the entire nursery done by 25 weeks I think? It was really early and we were really excited to do it, we found out gender at 12 weeks.
With this kiddo I've not even thought about it and it's starting to stress me out because I have to fix the nursery for the new guy and then get DS's big-boy room in working order. I'll be done by 30 weeks for sure, not touching it after that!
