I traveled at 34 weeks. That was it for me. I had approval from my doctor. Anything after that I couldn't travel even remotely comfortably, even a car ride.

I'll be flying at 31 weeks in May to Vegas A lot of the bees have great advice and reassurance, many of them traveled in the 3rd trimester!

I went to England at 33 weeks and had a great time. No problem whatsoever.

My midwife said I could fly as long as the airlines would let me (around 35-ish weeks) but I personally don't want to. I do think at 27 weeks you should be OK though. I'll be flying for work at 22 weeks and that will probably be my last flight, but that's just how my schedule worked out.

When do you see the midwife? I'd want to tell my brother soon, before he makes any plans, even if it is a little earlier than I would tell normally. If he is still deciding on dates, he might take that into account and try for something earlier. If it was my wedding, I'd like to know so I could try and make sure you were there.

@KJfromNJ: Oh yeah, I think you can wait til Tues. My midwife didn't see me until 8 weeks and I wouldn't have wanted to go that long, but a long weekend is no big deal.

I read that airlines (and thought dr, too) didn't want you flying in your 3rd trimester.

It great to hear that there are Drs that allow you to fly past that point.

I will be flying on Monday at exactly 23 weeks.

I traveled internationally at 27 weeks and it was fine! I had a doctors note just in case and it never even came up. Any time after about 34 weeks is when I think doctors prefer for you not to travel by plane.
