Just curious! I'm close enough to Philly that I could easily hop a train. And if there's every a bigger Bee Meet-Up in NYC I would totally make the trip.
What's the furthest you'd be willing to travel to meet up with some other bees?

I think I would go to the next biggest city which is about 3 hours away. I have friends there as well so I would try and get to see them too so it would be really worth the drive.

I've had meetups in Seattle, DC, Salt Lake City and California. I'm a worldly bee!

California if it was a big one (since we have so few AZ bees), but I'll be in Charleston, SC at the end of July and Cleveland at the end of September.

A couple of hours? I'll be around 5-6hrs from the closest Bees once we move in a couple weeks so not sure if I'll see anyone for a long time *sob*

@Mrs. Jacks: wow!
Atlanta will/would be my farthest but whenever I go visit my soster in CA, expect me to try and meet a few of the bees out that way

I'm about a 6 hour drive from NYC, and I go there often... I would definitely make the trip if we had a meetup there

@NaturallyCathy: It was more for work, but I make sure to try and meet up in every place I go to... Sometimes work is too busy!

Boston or NYC is the furthest I would go. They are about equidistant from my house but Boston is a bit closer. I would only go after I have an LO, though.

@MrsKoala: same! Love being sandwiched between 2 great cities....

I guess it depends on the situation. Only one bee is near me (which is AWESOME and I can't wait to meet her and her LO) but for a big meetup I think we would have to make it a family vacation somewhere.

New York- since we go there yearly at least!
Otherwise no more than. 4 hr drive

@FutureMrsMcK: Same as you! i live in the burbs of philly and would easily travel downtown for a meet up. NYC might be pushing it but if i knew about it far enough in advance I could catch the train in hamilton or trenton

If I could manage the drive and taking LO by myself, somewhere within a few hours. If I could hop on a short flight (i.e. San Fran or Vegas), even easier. I would possibly consider a NYC trip though if it were a BIG meet-up and make it a girls' trip!

4 hours gets me to anywhere in SoCal. It takes 2 to get anywhere where other people are anyway.

Somewhere in the West Coast. San Fran, Los Angeles, San Diego, Seattle, Portland....Preferably LA though since I live here.

@NaturallyCathy: Are you going to make it on the 6th?

I would travel 2 hours or up to 3 for a NYC meet-up. I'm closest to Philly and Baltimore.

NYC for a BIG meet up bc my family is there. And Toronto bc it's only 2 hours away!

LA/So Cal area would probably be the farthest I would travel so roughly 2-3 hours.

A few hours. Where we are now, London. At home.... maybe Chicago, KC or Memphis? Which is a 4 hour drive.

i don't think i would travel outside my city unless i was already going out of town for another reason and there happened to be a meetup. i live in a big city though so getting around could take an hour plus.

@Smurfette: It's still up in the air but I'm going to try!

I'm driving 4 hours to Atlanta for a meet up. And I would be willing to fly NYC if it was like a serious convention of bees : )

I couple of hours. I'm used to traveling to get to the "good" places...e.g. Philly, Maryland, New Jersey areas. Possibly NYC, but I'm scared of the city (did I just admit that?).

@MamaMoose: Sweet I've never been to NY. I've been to Maine and been through NY but never actually in it, you know?

I think I'd drive 2 hours, maybe to Montreal. If we had something else to do there I *might* drive to Toronto!

Couple of hours. I would love to be able to go to NY, especially because I have a lot of family there, but we just don't have the money right now.

@FutureMrsMcK: I agree with you on this one. Of course, we're about 1/2 hour apart. ha.

Maybe four hours? I've traveled to Philly (13 hours) to meet with a bunch of my running friends, so it's not out of the question. There are some fairly decent sized cities within 3-5 hours of here (Chicago, Nashville, Memphis, St. Louis).

if some of the other MA ladies were going to a NYC meetup, i'd tag along! boston is about an hour, so that's even easier =)

I would travel a few hours. Unfortunately I don't think many bees live close enough to make that work. I'm in NORTHern CA
pomegranate / 3604 posts
Montreal - 2 hours
Toronto - 5 hours
Syracuse - 4 hours.
I think thats as far as I'd be willing to drive.
coconut / 8681 posts
I'd travel to any major cities in CA I think. None of them are super super far.
