I say hello or make small talk if there's time.

Mostly just say hello.

But for the kids I know my DD really likes I make more of an effort - get phone number, friend on FB, set up playdates

I say hello and make some small talk sometimes, and then at school events or birthday parties I chat more. I've only made a play date once, when we were "buddy" families with a new family.

J's usually the last kid at preschool to be picked up, so there's no one to talk to besides the teacher - and she's a friend now and is coming over to hang out tonight So I guess I'm pretty friendly!

I think if I had the opportunity to meet more parents I'd definitely set up more playdates. The only time I see other parents would be at birthday parties or at the park. And it's rare that I see the same kids/parents there...

I didn't vote b/c I don't even do drop off/pick up's! And DH has seen very few parents and he only says hello.

I will for sure say hello to other parents at the playground or the likes.

I hung out with another mom and her baby while we were in adjacent rooms waiting for the dr the other day!

It runs the gamut. With some I say hi, or make small talk. Others I've friended on FB, would expect to have play dates when our kids are a bit older. And my BFF and her kids go to daycare, so that's a whole 'nother level.

And then there's at least 1, maybe 2 moms who are outright b-----s. So....

Usually just a smile or hello.

I usually just say hi, but our daycare does have quarterly events, so that has given us a chance to have more in depth conversations. We've made friends (hang out socially) with one couple and their LO.

I'm medium friendly. We were at the zoo this weekend and at the table next to us was a woman and a little boy who seemed a few months younger than my son. He kept growling at the little boy (in a friendly way, he's very into pretending to be a dinosaur) and the little boy was smiling and reacting, but the lady was NOT into it - we were trying to make a bit of small talk with her but she wasn't interacting with us or even our son at all, and I found it pretty off putting. You don't have to make friends with us but at least acknowledge the toddler!
