5 years ago DH and I got married and kids were a deal breaker for him (I was on the fence). We were set on two. Now that we have struggled through IF and are waiting to deliver this little guy, I am one and done.

I wasn't married yet. I thought 3-4 sounded ideal. It took us awhile to conceive our one and only, so I'm not sure how many more we will have. It sometimes makes me sad, but I try to remind myself that's life--no guarantees.

We wanted 3 kids, and to be done by the time we were 30. Pregnancy was really rough on me, so we're done at 2 ( still before 30 though!)

Five years ago we were trying for our first and coming up on our one year anniversary. I had no idea if there would be one baby let alone a second. We knew that I was AMA and it could take awhile.

Kinda. We started out wanting 3 and then after 2 we were very undecided, we ended up getting pregnant unexpectedly. I don't know what we would have done relating to a 3rd if that hadn't happened.

Five years ago, we wanted two kids but our plan was to have them as close together as possible (we were thinking 2 kids under 2). Now LO is almost 2 and we are not planning to have another for a year or so.

5 years ago, DH and I wanted to adopt 4 kids, but started to realize more and more how expensive the adoption process would be and how complicated it can be (in terms of paperwork and finding an ethical organization).
Now, I'm 26 wks pregnant with our first LO, and we still want 3-4.... but who know how or if we'll get there. Complicating factors: PCOS, the emotional & physical toll of pregnancy, price of childcare or availability of MIL to provide childcare, job prospects/changes, foster care adoption.

5 years ago, we had been married for a year and were planning on TTC in 2012. And we did. And we had two kids just as we planned.
I'm big on sticking to plans.

5 years ago we had been married less than a month but had always talked about having a big family...We have 2 kids now and are open to a 3rd/4th down the road.

We thought we would have 3. Then we thought 2. Now we think 3 again : ) (We already have 2).

Five years ago we had been married for a year and waiting for me to finish my doctoral program before TTC. The plan was for two kids and then to become foster parents when our youngest bio kid was around 4yo, with the intent of adopting at least one more child down the road. I am currently 31 weeks along with LO 2, and the rest of the plan still remains the same as well!

5 years ago we had been married for a year and had agreed that at some point in the future we would have one child and see how it went and make the rest of the plan from there.
We have one child now, and right now the plan is to wait a while longer to think about another.

We were pretty open to 1-3 this time 5 years ago but after having 1, we are thinking 2 and through (after 2 years of feeling one and done!) but who knows what the future will bring.
