How hot and sticky would you consider too hot to take your baby out for a walk? It's 7:40 and already 88 degrees with the humidity. I'm supposed to meet some ladies for a stroller walk at 10:30. Will it be too hot? I'm just kind of thinking that if I'm uncomfortablely hot then I shouldn't go?

I honestly don't know. How old is your LO? I think I read that babies can't really regulate their temperatures well until around 6 months, so if it's uncomfortable for you, it might be unbearable for your LO! If you're sweating up a storm, I probably wouldn't go. Unless maybe you have some sort of portable fan you could attach to the stroller to keep your LO cooler?

IMO that's too hot. I would skip. Can you guys relocate to "walking" in a mall? Stores won't be open but exterior doors usually are for walkers.

Ugh it sounds gross
I took E for a walk once and the temp climbed to 90, but I stayed in the shade. She slept the whole time but the heat broke her skin out. I figure there are hot places in the world without AC but I know I certainly wouldn't want to walk around in an 88 degree mugfest

Yuck. I was cleaning my car at 7am and dripping in sweat when I was done (didn't even get to the trunk!) and it was cooler than where you are. Maybe go mall walking or somewhere else inside, or reschedule for late evening or super early in the morning. I think you'd both be miserable and LOs overheat easily.

@sslm: Good call! At 9 weeks??? That's definitely a big n o. They can't regulate their temp yet.

I agree with @matador84: if I'm not comfortable she can't be comfortable. I just cancelled a walk with my aunt because it's supposed to be in the mid-90's today. Does anyone have a baby pool the LOs can splash in instead?.

@sslm: Oh yeah, definitely don't take her out in the heat! Like @regberadaisy said - she won't be able to regulate her temp and so will definitely be too hot! A mall walk sounds like a great alternative!
