@autumnlove: DH is very involved. Sometimes I wished he wasn't so invested so I can just do what *I* want! hehe
Food, color scheme, favors, etc etc

We are just starting to think about her 1st. So I told him the theme I was thinking. Then we talked numbers, and decided to just do family since that is 40+ already. Then sort of decided on a time and food. He will help pick a date, but then will leave all the details up to me.
Oh and he picked out a 1 candle.

All he cares is how much I spend (which of course is always too much) haha

@LuLu Mom: SAME! lol!!
I run things by him and get passing comments. I will say he was very involved in the cooking of the food for DD's 1st bday party and did a great job. But really he defers to me for that type of stuff.

@autumnlove: Whattttt?? How can he veto a cookie cake??
DH is actually pretty good with helping me get the party together. He helps to set up the decorations and pick out stuff when I'm indecisive. He also made DD's picture slideshow last year... (I think I might make that a tradition
)

DH wants me to plan everything and just tell him what I want him to do (e.g. pick up food, call family, etc.). If I ask him for his opinion, it's a 50/50 chance of him actually help deciding. Otherwise, it's "just pick one!". I'm the most indecisive person ever so it's super annoying. Then there's the random event where he's super hands on... *blink blink*

@autumnlove: What??? I love a cookie cake. My cousin's kids ask for it for their party every year.
