DD is 2.5 years old, and DS is 3.5 weeks old. Up until this week, the transition has been great, DD loves her baby brother and has just been awesome with him and us.

This week though, its suddenly like World War 3 in our house over every little thing with her. She is having crazy tantrums like we haven't seen since before she could talk, banging her body on the floor and just screaming / hitting and generally going nuts. She's been sick this week too so I'm hoping that is a part of it, but how long can we expect the craziness to go on for?

Any tips to survive? We are trying to ignore her bad behavior and praise good behavior, but when she's been tantrumming for over half an hour we feel like we have to step in and try to discipline her. Time outs are NOT working.
