We found out I was pregnant just 6 weeks after our wedding, so obviously we didn't wait too long! We knew we wanted kids right away, and close together. Now I'm 26 and we have a 1 and 3 year old and the baby factory is closed!

Well, I gave birth a month after we got married. So we definitely didn't waste any time.

We waited a little over 4 years to TTC. We said from the beginning that we planned to start having kids around our 5-year anniversary. DD was born 1.5 months before our 5-year anniversary so we were right on track with our plan.

We started NTNP right after our first wedding anniversary, and started TTC in earnest a couple months after that. Our first was born 3 months after our second anniversary.

We found out we were pregnant 3 months after we got married. We did not TTC, he was happy surprise.

We started trying right after. DH had a surgical procedure for a varicocele and hydrocele that could have caused us issues but fortunately it only took 3 months of TTC for us. We wanted to be prepared for a long road but we were ready if it happened quickly too. He was born one month before our one year anniversary.

Loved the timing! We got married right out of college at 22 and knew we wanted to wait a while before kids in order to travel and enjoy life as the 2 of us for a while. I'll always look back fondly at this time in our lives, it was so much fun.... though I'm already so excited for all the fun life with a LO will be.

We started TTC right around our 3rd anniversary and were very lucky to get pregnant quickly. He was born shortly before our 4th anniversary.

We waited a little over a year to TTC. We wanted to enjoy being married for a bit first. I was 29 when we married, 30 when we TTC, and 31 when I got pregnant and had DS1. Was 34 when I had DS2 and now at 35 TTC for #3.

@MrsLonghorn: My parents waited 14 years! I always thought I'd wait 6-8 years until I ended up with an older DH - I think it's great to have that time with just the two of you.

We weren't preventing for most of our relationship (even before marriage!). We started fertility treatments after we had been married for around 8 months. It took just over a year for us to get pregnant so we had been married just over 2.5 years when LO was born.

@Bao: Even though I was 35 when we got married, we waited almost a year to start TTC. We took 3 huge international trips that year to get it out of our system, then started trying

Though we were both older, we waited 6mos until we'd renovated & sold my home so that we weren't stuck with 2 mortgages with a baby (coming) like my neighbor. Interestingly, their place sold at the same time ours did, though they'd been on the market for 1yr & us 3wks!
We got pg 5 months into TTC, but m/c, then pg again 3 mos later, delivering just 4 days after our 2nd anniversary. With the time it took, I wish we'd have started trying right away, but who knows how it's going to go when you first start!

I went off BC after I ran out of pills 1-2 months after we got married. Then we did NTNP for a year and got pregnant with DD1 that way.

We got married my last semester of law school when I was 24. I wanted to work at a real job and be married for at least a year. So, we started ttc at 1.5 years married, it took a year, and DD was born 3 months after our 3rd anniversary. I ended up being at my job for a little over 2.5 years when I got pregnant, so I felt established and in a good spot at work and my marriage!
