DS has been standing for 2 weeks and I'm ready for him to take off.when did your LO take off? Was it full on walking or a couple of steps here and there? He's 15 months for reference!

My 10 month old just learned to stand a couple weeks ago (holding on to something) and is now cruising along the furniture. Following!

Mine was cruising at 12 months but didn't walk until almost 17 months.

My 14 month old has been standing assisted since 9 months, crusing since 11, and standing unassisted for 2 weeks. No sign of walking (or crawling) yet!

@atoz: @Pollywog: I see we're in the same boat!
@rattles: I don't think I can wait that long lol

Cruised first and then stood independently, so I think different than your scenario. I believe it was a month though. He cruised for almost 3 months.
I did post at some point asking when it went from a few steps then crawl to full time walking and remember getting really varied responses.

@Jackiedavis87: DD starting walking with her sit to stand walker (VTech Sit-to-Stand Learning Walker https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000NZQ010/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_OzU1ybHE8QQ7Z) around the time she started standing. She used it for about 3 months before walking independently.
ETA- she was pulling up to stand and crawling at 10 months, standing independently and using the push walker at about 11 months.

Is he standing independently or hanging onto things while standing?

My kiddo pull to stand right at 7 months, and was cruising within a week. She started taking a couple of steps at a time away from furniture around 10 months. She started full on waking the week after her first birthday.

@CatchAFallingStar: he's standing on furniture, he can stand independently for like 5 seconds lol.

Will he walk holding on to your finger? DD was cruising around 11 months, and walking really confidently while holding on to one of our fingers from about 12-15. Around 14 months she started standing and taking a few steps on her own, but then I think she got scared and wouldn't really do either until almost 16 months! Then she took off, walked pretty much perfectly right away.

My LO started cruising around 8 months, standing independently without holding on around 9 months, and walking at 10.5 months. Probably will happen faster at 15 months.

All depends on the child! DD was an early stander but wasn't cruising until 12 months and started walking unassisted around 14 months. DS went from standing to walking unassisted over the course of about 2 weeks! He's just over 12 months now and he's been walking for about a month.

LO has been standing since 8.5 months and started walking with a walker about two weeks later and then took another month to cruise freely. At 11 months he is even letting us guide his steps. I'm holding my breath anyway he's going to take a leap of faith and walk on his own. I'm ready, but I'm not really ready.

DS1 I can't remember but DS2: pulled up at 7 months, stood independently at 8 months for a few seconds, took first steps at 9 months 1 week.

Pulling up to standing started at about 8 months. He started cruising by 9 months and was taking his first cautious steps at 10 months. He was exclusively walking/running by his first birthday.

T pulled up at 10 months, stood independently at 11 months and walked holding our hands. Then first steps were right around first birthday and he was exclusively walking by about 13.5-14 months (although was still falling A LOT).
O is a little different. At 8.5 months she was barely rolling. Crawling at about 9.5 months. Standing, cruising, climbing all happened within 36 hours at 10 months. First steps by 11 months and walking pretty much full time by her first birthday.

@Dahlia: not quite, he'll hold both my hands and walk, but that's it so far.

DS1: started standing @ 8 months? He walked the day he turned 10 months.
DS2: is only 9 months but is trying hard to pull his chubby self up to standing! He wants to go, but he has a lot to work with.

My DD cruised from about 10 months on, and started walking at 12.5 months. She didn't ever stand independently/unassisted until after she was walking.

It was 2-3 months from pulling up to walking independently. She pulled up around 9 months and took her first steps just before 12 months.
