R is starting to get more comfortable with cruising along the coffee table and couch. She still doesn't want to walk a lot with the walker. She will walk a little if we hold her hands.
How long did you LO take to start walking after cruising? and how old were they? Wondering if it takes longer if they are younger. R will be 9 months next week.

We are just cruising now at 11 months. I don't expect him to be walking for his 1st bday!

L started cruising around 6.5 months. Didn't really "get" her walker until eight. First steps at nine months exactly. Multiple drunken steps at ten. And now at almost eleven is 60% walking/40% crawling. Soooo 3.5 monthsish.

A started cruising at 7 months. used walker comfortably walking with it by himself at 9/10 months. first steps at a week past 11 months, a week later full on walking at just past 12 months he is all over the place walking, trying to run, etc.

ha she cruised around 9 months, and at 14 months she still is not walking. she takes some steps, but that's it!

L's been cruising for 2 months now, and I thiiink we're almost there... I would guess within the next month. She tries to take off on her own, but just collapses as soon as she lets go. So, the desire's there!

@Smurfette: LO is 10.5 months and started getting comfortable with the walker a few weeks ago. daycare said they've seen him take a few steps, but i haven't seen anything. i feel the same way as you do about being okay with him taking his sweet time.

Almost 6 months! She started cruising at 10 months, and walked at 15.5 months. She just had no interest in walking but once she wanted to it only took her a few days to become an expert walker!

She started cruising around 8 months and her first steps were around 10 months? but full on walking was around 11 months.

LO started really cruising at 8.5 mos. Now at 9.5 she's standing without holding on and maybe taking a step but she's really good at walking while holding on with one hand. She's very casual about it, it's very funny!

About 2 months, she cruised fast and was too scared to really start taking off on her own. Then it was like one day BAM she was off on her own and there was no stopping her.

He started cruising at 9.5-10 months but didn't full on walk (like, more than just a few steps) until he was 14.5 months. When he walked though, he literally went from taking 0 steps one day to walking across the room / house.
Don't delay walking...seriously, we felt like things were way more fun with our little guy once he started walking!

Similar to what @mrskc: said.... We had a cruiser for a loooong time before a confident walker. By 12.5 months full walking all the time. But he was still mainly crawling at 11 months even though he was cruising pretty well at 8.5 months

It took many months. He was pulling himself up at 7 mos, don't remember exactly when he started cruising but DS was 14-15 mos before walking alone consistently.

cruising around 8 months and last week i called her a "walker" but i would say the ratio is more like 40 walking/60 crawling. walking is for short distances, crawling for making the long haul somewhere. @oliviaoblivia:

Cruising at 8 mo, walking 2.5 months later. She turned 1 yr today and is no longer crawling at all. She started running last night.
