It took me 6 weeks (I lost 50 pounds, counting from being full term) after I stopped breastfeeding, I gained about 15 and haven't lost it since. Now I'm pregnant again and I hope breastfeeding melts it off once again!

@Rubies I was stuck at my 6 week pp appointment til month 4. I realized I wasn't losing any weight so I started working out. Lost 10lbs between months 4-6. Stuck again so eating healthier and stopped eating after 7pm. I used to eat late at night. Weight's slowly starting to decrease again.

I with your Rubies...I'm at 6 weeks PP, and currently stuck. I did go for a jog the other day and the very next day I was a pound lighter...so I'm definitely going to start putting in workouts...I just wish it was warmer so I could go out for more runs with my little one...I find it so hard to get a workout in at home with the baby.

your body holds onto extra weight when you're breastfeeding. a lot of women aren't able to lose the last pounds until they wean.

I'll let you know when it happens. My youngest LO is 3 years old. Ugh.
Fwiw, I gained 50 lbs with both pregnancies. Genetics played a large (Ha!) part, because with my first, I ate junk food and pigged out. With my second, though, I ate much healthier, watched my portion control, and drank tons and tons of water. Still gained 50 Boys were 8lbs 11 oz, and 8lbs even, respectively. OB said sometimes, women just gain all over, and clearly, I was one of them. No gestational diabetes, either, we thought that at first, too. But nope, just good ol' genetics -.-
ETA: I bottlefed with the first, but BF'd with the second.

I only gained 15 lbs (gestational diabetes stopped me from gaining any weight) so it only took me a few weeks to lose it. At my 6 week postpartum checkup, I was a pound less than my starting weight, but my body looks nothing like pre-pregnancy. I am very lucky to not have to worry about the number on the scale, but I hate seeing my body. Hoping that it'll return back to normal once I wean.
