My hCG was over 4,800 last Monday and I miscarried last Tuesday. This Monday my hCG was 46. I'll have blood drawn again next Monday. How long did it take your hCG to drop below 5?

I miscarried on Jan. 30. I went for weekly blood draws up until last tuesday, the 4th.
But I'm pretty sure my level was in the 10,000 when I miscarried.
On Feb. 18 it was at 64
The next week it was 10
the following it was 0

I had a D&C, so a bit different, but it took over 4 weeks afterward to go from 150 to 0.

I googled and read tons of threads like this...and like everything related to miscarriage, it seems that there is no "normal" I totally got freaked out by someone whose levels dropped super slowly.
I hope yours fall fast. I know it was such a relief for me when I finally got the call that I wouldn't have to come back for another draw.

I had a D&C as well and on the day I found out I miscarried (blighted ovum) my hcg was 43000. My doc isn't doing blood draws. I took a pregnancy a week after the D&C and I got a very faint line. I took another 2 weeks later and there was still a very faint line after a half hour (pulled it out of the trash) but no line after 5 minutes of taking it. but I think it is this bad batch of wandfos that keeps giving an evap line.

I'm so sorry for your loss. Your drop sounds like it's really efficient, for lack of a better word. I had a missed miscarriage (but waited to miscarry naturally) and it took 3 months for my levels to go from 2700 (three days after bleeding started) to under 5. I am one of those scary people that @MaryM was googling!
I hope things progress quickly for you, so that you can heal and move forward. Hugs!

@swedishfish: How did your blood draw go this week, still making good progress? Just got my results from this morning-- mine has dropped down to 51 (was 676 the week before and 3104 three days prior to that). My nurse said the levels can sometimes stagnate around here, hope you're not finding that to be the case! Good luck!

@momazon: I just got a call that my results were less than 5 so I'm officially done with blood draws. I hope your levels drop quickly too so you can be done with this and move on!

@swedishfish: That's excellent-- what a relief not to have it drag out weeks and weeks further. Hopefully my levels will follow in your footsteps. Sending tons of good luck vibes and wishes in your direction today!
