How old was LO when you stopped carrying them around in the Ergo? This is more for big city bees as I basically have to have my stroller and Ergo with me at all times since we rely on trains and public transportation exclusively. Baby is heaaaavy!!!

LO is nearly 15 months and I've been carrying her around in the Ergo all morning (in the front carry so she would sleep). Now that I'm 20 weeks pregnant though, it's starting to be a bit much on my lower back. I foresee us using it in the back carry for a while to come yet!

I still babywear my 2 yo (26 months) sometimes! We have a Beco Gemini which is similar to the Ergo. She's 25-ish lbs.

My daughter is 3.5 and 25 lbs. We still use it, but most of the time she'd rather walk.

I don't have an ergo but an assortment of other carriers and DS is still worn in one on a daily basis at almost 18 months. We just like wearing him over dealing with a stroller.

We still Ergo at 20 months and 25 pounds. Not as often since he can walk well, but there are still plenty of situations where we use it.

Still going strong daily, still in front carry mostly, at 15.5 (I guess almost 16) months. I love my Ergo, especially for quick trips around the block with the dog.
Side note - jealous of the mamas of 2 and 3 year olds that weigh 25 lbs. C already weighs that much now...he will be a beast by the time he's 2 or 3.

I wear him occasionally at 13m/25lbs, but not daily, usually only when he's really clingy/cranky. He prefers the stroller/walking.

@Mrs. Confetti: I still stress about her being 25 lbs and 3.5 yrs, though. Yesterday in ballet class, she was the smallest kid by at least half a head-- keeping up and doing great, but so so small. It was a moment of deep mixed feelings.

My older one is 27 months and almost 27 lbs and we still use it sometimes, mostly in crowded places, but generally he would rather walk. It's been in gradual decline since he was 18 months.

DS is 10 mths and almost 24lbs, some days he eats like he has 3 stomachs. I still wear him in the ergo although very rarely in the front anymore. I usually wear him on my back if he's fussy and wants to knock out. The ergo has been one of the most used items in my house, I only wish they could front face!

We front carried until we weaned at 2 years old and every day as we walk to school, I put him in the beco on my back. He is 2 1/2 and 25 pounds. I will continue as long as he can.

I stopped at around age 2, my son really just wanted to walk and I followed his lead. He was probably around 25 pounds at that point.

Thanks I guess the upper end is about two years which seemed about right... It's just that she is nine months and already 22 pounds so I am dyyyyyying..... Poor girl loves to be held though, and I want to but it's physically just too hard now.

We are also in a city with no car. I started wearing him a lot less when he turned 2, he was just way too heavy, so we rely mostly on the stroller (he's now 2.5). DH sometimes back wears him when we go out and don't want to bother with the stroller.

I wear DS daily....he's a BIG kid. He's 7 months and 21 pounds. I play to wear him as long as possible. He loves it!

@gracecat: FYI- I like how the kinderpack distributes weight and really makes a seat for LO when I wear her on my back. No pain from 3 hour hikes!
