I've never taken so many medicines before in my life. I'm trying to figure out when I should stop the stool softeners. I'm kind of afraid of doing so... I gave birth 11 days ago.
When did you stop taking stool softeners?

i stopped after a couple days since olive was in the hospital an extended stay and i was either in the waiting room or a nearby hotel. man i paid the price.
i'm not sure when you should stop, but i'd take it a little while longer!

this is something I do not look forward to dealing with after I have a baby.

I never used any! Ate a high fiber diet.

I only took them at the hospital. I actually have an unopened bottle of them that I bought the day I got home. I maybe should have taken them longer, but oh well!

I took them for a couple weeks, til I felt like things were moving along well.

I took them for a few weeks until I was done taking all my meds, especially my iron and pain pills.

I think I took them for about 2 weeks. I didn't want to test my stitches at the beginning...

Just until I left the hospital. I couldn't be discharged if I didn't have a bowel movement.

I was lucky that I never needed to take them, I just ate a lot of fruit.

Took them for 2 wks until I stopped bleeding (still spotted until 4 wks though!)

I took them for a long time... I stopped at 6 weeks I think. But I had to have a blood transfusion after delivery and then took iron supplements through week 5. Pooping was not fun.

after a couple of days. total regret! had bad constipation and when i finally went, my stitches tore... sorry tmi
