Did you ever switch to the ones with open feet?
Did you ever switch to the ones with open feet?

Oh, good questions! I've been wondering about this too.
I feel like as the weather gets nicer, I will stop using the sleep sack, and hopefully won't have to use one next winter!
Interested to see what others say.

Still using the traditional sleep sacks at 15 months. We have another size up and after that, I think we'll be done using them.

Around 14 months we stopped using them. DD would stand up and tug on them making her uncomfortable. She slept with a blanket after that and did fine.

We used them until shortly after we switched to a regular bed a bit after he turned 2. At that point it was overkill.

Still use them at 14 months. We keep our house pretty cool in the summer so I assume we'll keep using them until she's in a toddler bed with blankets. She walks around her crib in the regular sleep sack with no problem.

We are still using the traditional sleep sacks at 22 months. He started to use a blanket at daycare for naps a couple weeks ago so I'm hoping we can just transition to blankets soon instead of buying more sleep sacks...I love them but it's gotten expensive buying the next size up every so often. And we were gifted so many blankets that we have never used.

We're still in a regular one at 19 months but may switch to the one with feet soon. My friend's son started taking his diaper off and painting his wall with poo, so I like that the sleep sack prevents diaper access!

We only stopped using them after we transitioned DD to a twin bed at 20 months!
DS is 14 months and still using them.

Age 2. We used the ones with the open feet from about a year, iirc.

At 19 months, we still use sleep sacks. We switched to the open feet ones when he started walking.

Stopped using it around 7 or 8 months. And realized there was never really a need

We stopped at 12 months. I didn't want to buy the next size. She sleeps with an A&A blanket now.

We stopped around 28 months (he was still in a crib) and the weather was getting warm.

After Christmas at almost 10 months. We forgot to take them when we visited my parents' house, and she slept just fine without them. So we just stopped using them. She was standing already and started walking a month later. Now we just do big kid style pajamas or footed sleep n plays for cooler nights.

LO used them from when we weened her off the swaddle at like 3 months (which was around jan) until the weather turned warm in the summer. When she was 15 months, the weather turned cool and I know she can't sleep with a blanket, so I bought her the ones with the feet open bc her sleep sack was getting too small for her. It was perfect bc I knew she was warm. Now the weather is getting warmer so we prob won't use it anymore.

only a few months..after she stopped the swaddle ones, we just packed away the size M...she hated them!

we still do at 18m and I won't switch to open feet until we move him to a toddler bed. What's the point? He hardly stands in his crib anyway and I certainly don't want him attempting to get out

Still using them at 18 months and no plans to stop until he's in a toddler bed. I think it's especially important now, as it keeps him from trying to climb out of the crib! He's happy standing and walking around the crib in his sleep sack, so it doesn't bother him. In the summer we'll just regulate his room temperature so he's comfortable.

Never used them for DS. Can't remember how long we used them for DD.. 12-15 months I think.

With #1 we used them until 19 months, he became fascinated with the zipper and one time got all tangled up trying to get out of it. #2 is 21 months and still wearing the regular kind, he likes to push his feet down into the corners so he still wears the medium size. I think it helped dissuade both of them from climbing out of the crib and it also aided with bedtime cues. I do have a few in the large size if we need them but none with the feet.

13 months and still using the regular kind. She can walk around her crib in it just fine. I don't plan on buying the ones with feet. She's in M now and still has room to grow.

8 months. Once he could stand his feet would pull the fabric until it was tight on his neck and he'd scream for me to get him. He hated them.
I never tried the ones with feet.

15 months and still using the regular kind. She walks in it just fine. Now that it is getting warmer, we may go without, but I think DD likes the sleep sack.
We just switched from a heavier quilted sack to a really thin A+A muslin sack for the weather change.

We only used them from when we stopped swaddling until 5 months. Lo just sleeps in fleece pajamas....but we live in a warmer climate.

We quit at six months. She was pulling to stand in the crib, getting her legs tangled and the face planting into the rails. I tried again when she was older (and it was winter) but she broke out of the ones we had and despite being above the height and weight on the A&A one I bought got her arm stuck through the neck hole in the middle of the night.
I have a lovely collection of barely used sleep sacks.
Hopefully future babies like them more.

Three years with my oldest and if my youngest will fit at around that age, then same! I have a feeling it'll be closer to 2.5 years b/c he is taller than his older brother at the same age. It has really kept my boys from climbing out. I use the A + A ones and found that their 18-24 months or XL one runs really long!

At 24 months we still use the regular sleep sacks. She doesn't mind them and actually taught herself how to take them off.

Still using regular ones at 21 months. Hubby worries about DD getting hot, but she's the one reminding us to put her in it. I personally wouldn't bother with the footless kind, since one of the big incentives of a sleep sack for me is (thus far) it has prevented her realizing she could possibly climb out of her crib.

DD just turned 2, and we still use the regular ones. In the morning she often doesn't want to take it off, so she ends up walking around in it until it's time for her to get dressed. She is amazingly adept at walking in a sleep sack. She can move very fast, and I've never seen her trip or fall down while wearing her sleep sack!

Still using the regular ones at 25 months (she just moved into an XL). I don't think we will stop using until she's at least 2.5? Haven't tried the ones with feet and I'm happy with the sack so I don't think we will.
