M (8 months) has been an extreme drooler for a while now. She has 4 teeth, but they don't drool like this the whole time they're teething, do they? She has to have a bib on every minute (bye-bye cute outfits!) and she even drools through those. Her poor little chest is always wet and I'm constantly moisturizing her face to keep the drool rash at bay. Obviously there are bigger problems to have, but is there an end in sight?

i think it depends on the baby! our LO drooled like crazy at 7-10 months too... and i think it started to get less around 11 months? i remember one day i just realized i wasn't washing bibs like crazy, and these days (12.5 months) he doesn't usually wear one.
my relative's baby was a drooler though -- it was really cute, but maybe not for the parents
he drooled heavily until 2-3 years old :). i think that is an unsual case, though 
now that he's older it's not an issue at all -

DS drools every time he has a tooth coming in. He is 15 months old and getting a new tooth in right now, drool city. It is almost like the spit just falls out of his mouth and his shirt is constantly wet. DD wasn't like this, but man oh man DS drools!

T is almost 13 months old and drools like crazy when cutting a tooth still. He drooled constantly between 4 and 8 months and got his first tooth at 8 mos and one every 3 or so weeks since.

Still drool at 15 months.
I think it's b/c his teeth are coming in slowly but surely!

Um, my baby is only 3 months old and drools all day long. She went through 4 bibs today between drool and spit up. I hate to think what it is going to happen when she is teething.

@Smurfette: We've only just moved away from constant spit up at 8 months! I feel like my whole life is a soggy mess. She has so many cute outfits too - I hate covering them up! -
@MrsF: I am with you!! I hate bibs take away from the outfit and then they don't always match.

@MrsF: my son had to wear a bib constantly probably until 8 months when that first tooth came in. He soaked through 5 bibs a day! It got better when he got that first tooth. Everyone thought he was getting teeth young but he didn't!
