I'm planning to take the full 12 weeks through FMLA. I don't see any reason not to. The summer time is especially slow for my office.

I originally planned 12 weeks, wasn't ready to go back yet and work was slow, so I took another month and went back half time. My hours vary, sometimes more or less, but much of it at night and weekends so I can be home most days.

12 months, but considering an extended 6 months without pay because I really don't want to go back to work during the summer!

14 weeks would have me going back to work the week after new year's week. So that's my plan... And hoping to brooch the topic of working reduced hours the first month or two back.

I took 16 weeks and I'm planning to 16-18 weeks this time.

I'm going to get dr approved 6 weeks for vaginal non complicated delivery or 12 weeks for csection or complicated vaginal delivery.
plus two weeks or so I'll have the dr approve me to stop working prior to delivery.
I'm really going to take no more than 12 weeks regardless.

I'm thinking I'll probably use a few days of vacation before he arrives, just to have a few days of rest before our lives are changed forever!

I can take up to 6-months, but don't know if I'll take all of it. Will most likely take 16-20 weeks, esp since my boss said I can telecommute full time for as long as I need after I return to work.

I have 12 weeks FMLA, but will only be able to take off 8. I have 6 weeks of saved vacation/sick time that will be paid, and can only swing 2 weeks unpaid before things get too tight. I wish I could use more, but it's just not in our finances.

50 weeks, but DH has expressed some desire to take 8 weeks of that, so ....42 weeks?

14 weeks if I have her on schedule. Longer if I have her early. I'm entitled to 18 weeks

I was out for a little over 3 weeks on bed rest and then took 7 weeks after DS was born. I went back part time for two weeks and then back to my 40 hour schedule.

I took 3 months off,
but if I could, and I do not need to worry about losing clients and all, and I do not need to worry about money, I'd take 3 years off. Sigh.

I need to be able to check multiple options! 4 months the first time and 3 days the second time

I went back to work when my son was 5 months old. Since I'm a teacher and he was born over the summer, it was technically only four months off because our school year starts at the beginning of September. I was paid through about mid-November. I think 40 days paid, with the rest unpaid.

Hoping to take 12 weeks. I work for a small non-profit, so I'm not guaranteed anything under FMLA, but my boss has been super flexible with the other ladies who have recently had children. I have 8 weeks, and I have to take my vacation and Remaining sick time also. Hopefully I can go back at 24-30 hours a week and work the rest of the time from home.

@PrincessBaby: we did not anticipate that our second baby would come in the middle of my high season while others were out on mat leave. It was suboptimal, but luckily Mister Jacks was a SAHD. We made it work... Even though it was suboptimal. And our second daughter still prefers mama when she needs comfort and love... So we must have done something right

I'll be taking 52 weeks. I have about 7 weeks left of work and am really looking forward to being done.

WAH job: unofficially on leave for 7 weeks, accepting small projects.
WOH job: 5 weeks unpaid.
Both jobs are part-time, so I'll be home with DD most of the time anyway!

I'm planning to be a SAHM, but if I do go back it would probably be about 14 weeks-- but that would include a week or so before LO is born. Only part would be paid.

Officially, I am taking 12 weeks. After six weeks though, I am going to be doing some part-time work. I work from home, so it's not such a hardship, since the baby will still be with me, but I am still not looking forward to it.
